I got these for a musical that my daughter is in. She is a pirate and what is more pirate than a parrot (eye patches were not allowed). I was not very impressed with the bird. It looked cheap. It feels like a Styrofoam base with feathers lightly applied. The bird's feet are attached to a white piece of elastic . She has tied it around her upper arm to have it rest on her shoulder. She dances and moves around a lot in the production and the bird has made it through dress rehearsals and two shows. We did not have to reinforce the bird to stay on her shoulder. She loves it and a few of the other pirates wanted one as well. This is great for someone who is easily impressed and not very picky about looking realistic. It looks like a parrot from a distance, but the closer you get the less real it looks. It was great to have something that made my daughter unique amongst the pirate crew.

These are a couple of really really cute costume parrots. They are fairly robust, but the elastic really needs some velcro at the end, or it needs to be a couple of inches longer. We found it really only stays if the shoulder is strapped across the chest, and ideally, the elastic would be longer for that. I used these for little kids, so it was fine, but only just. The birds themselves are really quite beautiful, and reasonably well made. They are super fun to add to a costume.

The parrots are super cute. I love that it's a strap for your shoulder. We did have one parrot fall off pretty quickly. Not a huge deal, it can probably be glued again but in the moment it's a bummer. I just tied a knot in it but I'd recommend safety pins to keep it together and attached. Fun prop!

I know halloween isn't for a few months but my nephew still likes to dress up for fun so I gifted him these parrots for his pirate costume and he was really happy. They look a little silly, and fall off a bit but it doesnt matter to him, it's all fun still and he named them.

As above. The feet are really pointed and are actually not the correct digits for a parrot (parrots have two forward facing and two rear facing claws. However, if you are a toddler and not an ornithologist and are wearing a decently thick shirt or a layered costume, this is simply a tie on and enjoy kind of thing which is plenty. This is perfect for toddlers or maybe a costume party where you are not worried about spending a bunch of money on the perfectly accurate fake bird.

I got this for my 3-year-old grandson because he wants to be a pirate next Halloween. And of course, every pirate needs a parrot for their shoulder! It came in a pack of two so he can play with one now and still have one for his costume. They look a little cheap and I haven't figured out why they cut the elastic strap. I guess you just tie it around their arm? I think I will probably have to sew it onto his pirate shirt so it stays on and is stable. But he really loves it and because you get two, I think the price is probably okay.

Aargh ahoy maties! This is too cute and I love that it comes in a set of two, but I will say that even when attached it somehow seems to slip and fall off so I will likely be sewing it onto the top that we plan on wearing for pirate day, but otherwise it’s fine if you can figure out how to attach it to where it sits and fits firmly on the shoulder that would be better but we could not get it to attach properly. It just kept on sliding off, so that’s only thing to keep in mind but otherwise we do love the parrot set super cute.
