This is a great day bag or travel back bag. I have used baggage organizers, sometimes using compression bags. I like this one has a compression bag designed into the primary packing area. This lets me carry more clothing items and still meet bag storage area size requirements. I don't use the vacuum pump and get pretty decent compression of the main clothing compartment. I like that it can be carried as a bag or worn as a back pack. A specific value of the compression compartment is that it is waterproof so if you wind up in the rain or whatever soaking your bag might experience it protects the clothing items or other dry store items you have zipped into the air tight compression section. When I travel I typically take my scuba regulators and personal specific gear in a carry on and have a small personal item backpack. On the way back I will usually check my carry on bag since I will have lots of time to find or replace my gear. The small backpacks I have used had really no organization. Mostly what I like is the organization capabilities for a personal item sized bag. When I check my carry on this allows me to keep my batteries separated and safe and enough room for anything I might need on the trip. I don't typically take a laptop with me, but sometimes a tablet and it is decently protected in the laptop sleeve. This isn't a one bag perfect for everyone kind of thing. Even for me there are times and situations I prefer to use a different bag. But there are also times where this bag, with the protective characteristics mentioned is what works best. Price is the upper neighborhood for what I might expect for the features in this one, but at the time I write this there is a coupon available which would make this a very reasonably priced bag.

At first the price seems very jarring as it is priced high but often features a pretty low discount to make it seem like it is a better deal than it really is, so if there are others in the same price range you may have other options available. For the full price I can say that this bag is fine enough. The zippers on this feel nice and there seems to be a lot of attention to the placement for the zippers as well as the straps for the sides. I do think that they can be stiff at times and I need to pull harder than I would like but it works and that's what matters most. The build quality overall is very well made. The storage for this is also pretty nice and I was able to comfortably store 3-4 days worth of clothes in the vacuum sealed pocket. No issues with vacuuming the air out using my vacuum cleaner and the space it saves is shocking. I do wish the vacuum chamber was the bottom-most portion of the bag since it is sandwiched in the middle and can be awkward to put more delicate items like a laptop or other electronics below on the side closest to your back, but I assume this is for sturdiness as well as security. The bottle pocket was a bit too loose for my liking even with the zipper adjustment but for a quick place to put your drink it is fine. The size is fine and the style is very nice. It fits any occasion from a simple trip to a daily bag well and I plan to continue using it as my main bag for quite some time assuming the zippers continue to hold up. For the price on sale I can STRONGLY recommend this but at retail value there may be better options available.

This bag has most of the pockets that I like to see on a travel bag minus a small pocket near the top handle for easy to grab smaller items. I really like the internal packing pocket for clothing as it allows you to squeeze out excess air without needing a vacuum like many other bags do. No one travels with a vacuum and most do not travel to destinations that will have a vacuum readily available and packing one takes up extra room that could be used for something that would actually be required for the trip. This feature alone is the greatest part of this bag. So even if it's not a business trip, this is super handy to get a lot packed in a small space. Definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a great overnight bag or cabin carryon for airline use, this backpack could be the one you've previously overlooked. It holds a substantial amount for its size, is soft sided so it's comfortable to wear and can be squeezed into small overhead bins or under the seat in front of you. It doesn't weigh much on its own, so you can stuff it pretty full and still be under weight limits for smaller EU airlines like RyanAir, etc. I got it in black and am impressed with how well it works for a variety of needs. It is a bit boxier than a traditional backpack, so do be aware of that styling issue if that is important to you.

The actual bag is roomy, sturdy, and ideal for travel. The divisions make organizing simple, and I adore the style. However, given that the vacuum compression function is one of its primary selling features, I was unhappy that it did not include the pump required to vacuum seal it. You can't truly use that function to its fullest without the pump. I thought the price would be included, or at the very least, it should be made plain that it wasn't. It is still a good travel bag, but note that the pump will need to be purchased separately.
