I recently started a new job quite a ways from home so going home for lunch was no longer an option. I have severe food allergies so I need to bring my own lunch, but with the nightmares I keep reading about with people having their lunches stolen by co-workers, I didn't want to worry about that. I pack my lunch in the insulated section of the pack, and whether I packed it hot or cold, it's just the same when lunchtime rolls around. It easily keeps things cold or hot 8 hours (I work a 10 hour shift and sometimes don't get lunch until I'm 8 hours in). The other compartments are super handy- a small one up top is perfect with little pouches for pens or whatever you want to keep handy. The larger compartment has a divider and can easily hold a laptop and a portfolio, or books, or whatever. It looks stylish, the materials seem sturdy, and the straps are comfortable. It's set up to add a battery bank inside and be able to plug devices in outside, but I haven't used that yet. I frequently have buyer's remorse on backpacks and computer bags because they always seem to lack some essential feature, but not on this one. It's basically perfect. ... show more

I use it for school. Since I’m an athlete I take lots of snacks w me and the lunchbox feature works for keeping my chilled items insulated (chills other food stored in the compartment as well) which is helpful throughout my day. The built in USB charger never worked but I made the purchase specifically for the lunch box. Big enough to hold my clothes and supplies. The laptop divider keeps things separated that i want to keep separated. I’ve travelled with it just fine, so it’s been packed to max capacity and showed no signs of failure. Straps are great! There’s two hidden pockets on the back that held my ballet canvases w/o me having to dig to the bottom of the bag to find. The zipper on the strap can hold a couple of tri-folded bills or campus ID. *only gave 4 stars because the USB never worked. ... show more

All the pockets and compartments are great. The lunch compartment can really keep things cool especially with an ice pack. One improvement I would suggest is to have an optional shelf (perhaps by velcro) in the main compartment to keep things above the lunch compartment to keep it from getting pushed out. In the mornings I have to unpack the main compartment first, fill the lunch compartment, then put the rest of my things back in the main compartment.
