Was scared at first cause you never know.. I HAD a 3" blue regular foam pad before and it has no side support and got pretty worn where your body lies over the last year and a half. THIS one is SUPERB, seriously. It doesn't have "side support" per se, but it does keep you from falling off feeling due to the built-in topper. VERY good quality and is the same thickness as my old "just foam" pad I had but soooo much more comfortable. I was debating on a new mattress at first but mine is only 7yrs old and this saved it. No more humps from our bodies laying on it over time and I feel this will hold up a few years at least since my cheapie foam did and it was just 80" wide when bed size with no cooling or anything special like this has. I LOVE it. Even to just lay on and watch TV on is superb (adjustable frame also, so I just lay on the bed when home to watch TV). It feels soooo nice like a new bed first does and ZERO odor other than a new smell at first, nothing remotely bothering. Pad came to full rise much faster than they say (about an hour all in, not a full 24, that's silky and unneeded and I bought the thickest one here). But this! I got no discount or free item for this review whatsoever. I paid the $129.99 or whatever it was..

I am pleasantly surprised by how nice this topper is! The topper fits my King size bed well and has made a noticeable improvement in my sleeping. There is a firmness to it but very soft and comfortable. Very pleased & would definitely purchase more!

A life saver. I wake up refreshed. We got a king size bed in a box. It is impossible to get out of our room. We would have had 2 king mattress in our room. Thanks to this topper, I wake up refreshed, not sore! Love it! Way better than a whole new mattress

We purchased this set since our previous memory foam pad was quite old and losing its effectiveness. The set arrived well-packaged, in two vacuum-sealed internal packages--one for the memory foam and the other for the mattress pad to go over top. I was initially very concerned that the foam would recover its proper shape and thickness, given its initial distortion, but in an hour or so it recovered quite well. I was also pleased to find that the pieces gave off no chemical smell when released from their packaging. That being said, however, when compared with our previous pad, I found this new one to be thinner (though it IS the advertised 2 inches in thickness) and less dense than the old pad, even given the old one's age. I was therefore very skeptical that this new set would be able to effectively replace the old one. I thought about returning the set, but realized that I would never be able to get the pieces back into their original shrink-wrapped containers. So I settled on a compromise---I simply piled the new foam pad on top of the old one and then placed the mattress pad over both. The pad was easy to install, and the quilted pad's sides were more than adequate to securely contain both the old and new memory foam pads, and so overall, we are pleased with the improvement in comfort. However, I doubt this new set alone would have provided the padding we experienced with the older pad. For those looking for a moderate increase in padding and are looking for a relatively budget-friendly solution, this set may be an option. But those looking for a more robust level of padding may want to consider other options, depending on their needs.

Do not buy if you like restless sleeps, waking up throughout the night, or enjoy laying in bed for hours trying to get comfortable! Do buy, if you want to get a full nights sleep, fall asleep within minutes after your head hits the pillow, feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud, and waking up pain free in your lower back and hips! I read a lot of reviews on different toppers over the last few days, and this was the one I felt was the best option for me, and I’m so glad I did!! I’ve spent the last few years flip flopping on my bed because I couldn’t get comfortable. I would wake up in the mornings feeling like I could barely move because my lower back and hips would be in so much pain. Constantly waking up throughout the night because I couldn’t get comfortable. This mattress topper is a complete game changer! I have never been more comfortable sleeping, than I have since I ordered this a few days ago. It arrived within a day, I let it lay flat on my bed for about 8 hours before I slept on it, and it fluffed up just fine! If you’re looking for a mattress topper, I highly recommend this one. It’s a game changer for sleeping and waking up pain free.
