For Oils, place your favorite type of palette – wood, glass, plastic or paper – into the Palette Seal tray and snap on the lid. Your paints will stay fresh for many days-even weeks when they’re sealed in the airtight Masterson Palette Seal. For acrylics and other water-miscible paints, use Masterson’s patented Sta-Wet Premier Acrylic Paper and Sponge (sold separately). The sponge, when moistened and combined with Masterson’s Acrylic Palette Paper, maintains a moist “atmosphere” inside the Artist Palette Seal. You will be ready to continue painting up to weeks later when you store your paints in a patented Masterson storage container. Please note that a palette is not included in the Artist Palette Seal Made in the USA of durable yet lightweight injection molded plastic. Measures 1¾"H × 16"W × 12"D (4.5 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm).

I really love this pallet sealer. I was unsure by some reviews but if you read the instructions, it says mark the upper left corner as the lid has a memory, so I did that. It also says put Vaseline in the groove, so I did that. I was worried as I have arthritis and some said it was hard to open. Once I did all that it is easy for me. No problem. Also I noticed some said their top was warped but it is only because it is flexible, not rigid in order to bend it to remove it. I am having no problems and love it. I recommend it. ... show more

This will definitely keep my oils from drying out too fast. I have trouble getting the lid off. That's a nice, tight seal. Good size. My plastic palette fits right inside.

I like using a glass palette, so easy to clean, and love the well-fitting top. I wish I had known it had a white backing - I prefer a more neutral gray background for mixing colors. But if you like white, you'll be completely happy.
