POSITIVE-Looked first at a popular brand that costs far more. Took a chance on this lower priced jig. Worked perfectly first time I used it. Made in TAIWAN not CHINA and TAIWAN quality is great. Drill bit is razor sharp. Powerful built-in magnet on top of the guide holds the optional MASSCA clamp. NEGATIVE- Instructions aren’t great, but on-line videos helpful if you always remember to check thickness of wood you’re working with.

Just purchased this jig and used it to build a shop bench as a test drive. It performs as advertised and is fair value. Product reflects some smart features that improve ease of use as with setting the drill bit collar and the reversable strip for positioning. The plastic track that connects the jig to the spacer that positions the jig the correct distance from the other board started to misalign after only a few holes. I also experienced two instances (out of twelve) of the jig "walking" despite being clamped. Fine for a shop bench but problematic when building a bookcase or another piece of furniture.

First impressions are that this might be built a tad better than the Kreg. I like how the jig itself also serves as the jig to set the drill bit stop-collar. Also, the magnetic clamp attachment feature is less fidgety than Kreg's method that broke on mine after years of use but was always a clumsy method anyway. It FITS THE KREG DRILL BITS so there is no need to order the whole kit if you're just replacing a broken hole jig. Overall seems a better value as it's cheaper than it's competition AND is offered in pieces and you don't have to pay for a whole set if you just need one part.

The media could not be loaded. I used this pocket hole jig when I built a mobile work stand for my compound miter saw. The kit comes with a drill bit and adjustable bit depth guide. The jig is markedI along the edge for different lumber thicknesses, so I just followed the directions on the package and everything worked perfectly. I used a clamp to hold the jig firmly in place as I drilled the pocket holes. I did notice that it was much easier to drill the holes when I held my power drill with the grip pointed up as I drilled.

It might just be my inexperience, but I could NOT understand the instructions on this. I did some googling and thought I figured out how to use it. Confidence was still fairly low though. But I went ahead with it. I had to use a clamp to hold it down to the wood, because otherwise it just moved all over the place. So that was a pain. I wish I'd purchased the Kreg jig instead. But this was less expensive, and I'm happy to report I did successfully completed my project. Just with some added frustration and confusion.
