Was not impressed with this at all. Figured the higher price might mean it works better than other less expensive ones I've used, but I was wrong. I'm familiar with macro lenses that you use with your phone but I couldn't get this one to work at all. I could never get the picture to focus at all. I tried all distances and different ways to get a clearer more focused macro snapshot, to no avail. And I will mention that my phone isn't build with a Macro option. Instructions state if you have a phone with macro, you need to shut it off to use this lens. My android phone doesn't have that feature, so that wasn't the issue. The instructions that came in the package werent very helpful with any other troubleshooting options. So I returned it. I'll go back to my lesser expensive macro lens (and less power) which had way better results!

The lens optics are good. So photos are good. The mounting part is too shakey for video though. Could not successfully mount the long lens to my iPhone camera to make stable video. Also, it is fixed focal length, there is no zoom function here.

I've been using this with my grandson to take pictures of bees, butterflies, other insects, and flowers in the garden. It works really well and is so easy to use. The pictures are clear and crisp and capture all the detail I'm looking for.
