  • Okay for a first but some drawbacks
Color: Black Pattern: Acoustic Guitar
This is my first guitar. First of all to learn basic strumming it was pretty good. I love the look of it but for anybody who is a beginner and has small hands the thickness and rounded shape of the Neck make it very difficult to get the proper hand positions. The body is also very bulky for someone who is shorter. I am 5 foot two and 115 pounds and I have a hard time getting the proper positions with this guitar because it is so big. The guitar is slightly unfinished like other people mentioned. The fret board does not have any dot markers, only the bottom of the guitar has the placement for the strap so the strap is pretty much useless. I found out that there was just a little bit too much space underneath the strings than you would normally want which you want to strings closer to the guitar so you don’t have to use as much finger strength. The finish on the neck just below the nut did rub off a bit. It tunes very well. The tuner that they gave me was broken and it was too much work to get a replacement so I use an app on my phone which tunes it beautifully. The tuning knobs are fantastic and the cords are a decent quality however they seem to not be level creating a lot of buzzing with certain cords. I even tried to look into getting a chord buddy that attaches on the neck of the guitar to help me build finger strength and learn the chord movements however because of the way that the neck is shaped it does not fit a chord buddy. For a beginner that just wants to play around I think it’s fantastic. I did wind up buying a different 3/4 guitar for myself which will be a lot easier for my small hands and which will also accommodate the chord body attachment. I purchased this guitar directly through Perry music who is the creator of the attachment. I should be receiving that shortly. I never got frustrated with the guitar even though there were a few setbacks, it still was relaxing and I still enjoyed this guitar. I will be handing it down to my son. It’s obviously going to be big for him to but right now he’s just playing around with them. Since I want to be a little bit more serious and actually learn better I found out I need a much better guitar! ... show more

  • Great guitar for my daughter!
Color: Blue Pattern: Acoustic Guitar Kit
Purchased this guitar for my daughter’s 7th birthday. She had expressed an interest in learning to play. I had a friend tune it up for us. It has wonderful sound! Can’t wait for her to learn to play it!!

  • You get what you pay for.
Color: Blue Pattern: Acoustic Guitar Kit
This is a good guitar for a child that you assume is going to either lose interest in a few days or you suspect is going to break it. It is the definition of a cheap guitar. Cheap and poor quality strings, fret board buzzes regardless of your technique, loses its tuning after every song, low quality body and therefore sound. I would recommend it to you if your kid said they have an interest in learning and then based on their seriousness with this crappy product, decide if it's worth the investment for a better quality and pricier instrument. ... show more

  • Good start
Color: Black Pattern: Acoustic Guitar
I bought this for my teen son who started taking guitar lessons. It's a bit small for him (he is 5'9) but it serves its purpose for a good price.
