  • Just amazing - I love this guitar!
Wow, I ordered this after 4pm on Friday and it was delivered before 10am on Saturday!! The guitar sounds awesome, sweet and so mellow. Plugged in it is loud and also sounds great. Controls work perfect. I love the built-in tuner. The intonation is spot on. I was worried because there were no reviews and not many videos of this guitar, but believe me, for this price, this is perfection! What's cool is knowing that much like my wife and my other Martin guitar my daughter stole from me, it will only get better with age. ... show more

  • Best Acoustic Under $1,000
I had a tiny acoustic Martin that I was outgrowing. I was looking to upgrade but not sure what I wanted. I went into my local guitar shop and played every acoustic guitar I was interested in — Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, Yamahas, you name it. I didn’t check a single price tag until I narrowed it down to the ones that truly stood out for sound quality and ease of playability. The one that completely blew me away? The Martin GPC-X2E Cocobolo from the Martin X-Series. Then I looked at the price tag expecting $2K and up. I was shocked! This guitar has the tone and feel of a high-end model at a fraction of the price. The sound is rich, full, and balanced — clear highs, warm mids, and deep, resonant lows that carry beautifully. Action was great out of the box. When I finally looked at the price, I was shocked. This Martin beat out guitars that were two and three times the cost — including my partner’s $3,000 Taylor. I really thought I would pick a Taylor based on sound alone. Everyone who hears it assumes it’s a top-of-the-line model. The cocobolo-pattern finish is absolutely stunning, and the build quality feels solid. If you’re looking for the best acoustic-electric guitar under $1000, this is it. Perfect for beginners upgrading their first instrument, gigging musicians, or anyone who wants Martin tone without the premium price tag. After a year of playing it, I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It’s a hidden gem that delivers true Martin sound, unbeatable value, and show-stopping looks. Don’t let the price fool you — this guitar plays in the big leagues. The only downside this guitar has, for me, is the size. I'm quite short and it's a little big for me to handle. But the sound makes up for any uncomfortability. ... show more
