Description

A dreadnought from the company that invented the dreadnought: this is the Martin Standard Series D-45 in a classic looking natural gloss finish to the sitka spruce top. The D-45 is the flagship guitar of the Martin Standard Series, built with beautiful pieces of East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, sitka spruce scalloped bracing, Style 45 purfling, and classy abalone style 45 hexagon inlays. The D-45 is a dreadnought designed to catch your eye just as much as it will catch your ears, it's no wonder players like Gene Autry and Stephen Stills make the D-45 their instrument of choice. The new 2018 Standard Series D-45 boasts new forward shifted scalloped X bracing, open gear tuners, an aging toner top finish, and a modern high performance neck profile.

  • Can play wonderwall
Bought this specifically to play wonderwall and noticed it had weird plastic strings, but that’s was an easy fix of just changing them for steal strings, other than it plays wonderwall OK

  • Martin's quality no longer exists.
After owning a Martin for one month it started to crack. The store wouldn't buyit back with a crack in it. 6 months later the strings were buzzing and the back edge strap fell off.(cheap glue) Martin's do not retain their value, but don't take my word...talk around. You'll see.
