I have 5 ferrets. The vet gave me an ear cleaner that didn't seem to clean well and smelled bad. I had a hard time washing the scent off my hands, and the ferrets were always sniffing each other after I cleaned their ears. I rarely got any wax out of their ears. One use of this cleaner and I really feel their ears are clean now. One of my poor ferrets had gobs of wax. The scent is much better. I am glad to have made the switch- for me and for the business.

If your ferret's ears are very dirty, you might have to clean his/her ears several times before they are clean. Please do this though. A ferret's comfort, hearing, and balance are affected greatly if their ears are dirty or plugged up with wax. I cleaned a ferret's ears of someone I know with this and Qtips. That poor little guy had plugs of wax totally blocking his ear canals. It took some time and great effort to clean them, but I did so successfully. Please be very careful with the Qtips. Clean only the outside area of the ears. Do not put the Qtip into the ear canal. Small cotton balls or cotton pads might work okay instead of Qtips (but probably not as good). Better to use cotton if you are afraid to use Qtips vs. not cleaning the ears at all. It takes some practice, but this ear cleaning process gets easier. I scruff them on my lap while I clean my ferret's ears. When my husband is available, I have him scruff while I clean, which makes it a bit easier. It's not easy, but your fuzzy's health is worth your great efforts. Also, if it's just too hard for you with the Qtips, you can always take the easier route and just follow the directions on the bottle, squeezing some into their ears, massaging, and wiping with cotton. Although not as thorough, cleaning this way is much better than doing nothing at all. Ferrets fuss about this, but they NEED to have their ears cleaned, so choose a way, and do it at least once a month. I do it once a month with Qtips before their monthly baths. If you use one of the other methods with cotton, I would recommend ear cleaning twice a month or more often. This is a wonderful product for healthy weasel ears!

It wasn't until my vet did a routine check for eat mites that I realized how dirty my ferrets ears get! This cleaner really helps loosen the wax and get the ears clean! If you're not familiar with cleaning your fuzzbutts ears I highly recommend having your vet show you. Unfortunately ferrets absolutely hate getting this done but it's better than they do! Setting the bottle in some warm water to heat it up first helps with their reaction to it. You want it just barely warm so it's not as much of a shock as if it were cold!

Of course my babies don't like it simply because what animal likes to have their ears cleaned? haha It's very easy to use. The bottle is small enough to hold in one hand while caressing your ferret in another, and the solution comes out in large droplets. The large droplets puts enough in their ears to help with the cleaning but at a slow enough pace to avoid a mess.

Marshall is probably my favorite brands for ferret related upkeep, and their ear cleanser is no exception. I was surprised by the size of the bottle, it should last for quite some time. Our ferrets don't mind having their ears cleaned as needed and I like knowing it's good for them. I warm the bottle a bit in beforehand by letting it sit in lukewarm water which helps a lot and the clener does the rest. I recommend it to all ferret owners.

I just put a couple drops on a qtip and go in between the creases of my ferrets ears with this product. It works really well! It smells clean? Lol presentation is great as well as the quality.

It works good in cleaning ferret ears. However, ferrets don't like drops in their ears, lol. But it does work.
