    • Very Good Mattress for the Price - And the Vendor Solved a Shipping Error Immediately

After reviewing dozens of foam mattress I decided to buy the Marsail Queen Mattress, 10-inch Gel Memory Foam product. In my mind the $189.99 product offered what I needed at a good price point. Their $159.99 product looked good also, but I decided to buy the more expensive one. As a bonus, the shipping was free. When the mattress arrived, I put it on the bed and checked it out. Upon close examination I found out it was the cheaper 2 foam layer version and not the more expensive 3 foam layer version that I had ordered. I found the packing list item number and checked it against the model number on the Amazon product pages. The item number shipped to me was in fact the less expensive mattress - not the more expensive mattress I paid for. The fulfillment center had shipped the wrong product. Now here is the interesting part and the quick solution by the vendor. I decided to to see if sending the wrong mattress back or just keeping the cheaper mattress made the most sense. I made a simple lay down test on the mattress to see if it would adjust to my size and weight and if I was comfortable enough and to my surprise the incorrect mattress seemed to be just fine for what I needed. After some exchanges with the vendor - with submitting pictures of the incorrect product number on the box - I asked the vendor to credit my account for the price difference for the cheaper mattress that was sent. The vendor immediately sent a refund back to my account. So don't be afraid to buy from the vendor of the Marsail Foam Queen Mattress product. I believe they will fix any issues that might pop up. In conclusion, the mattress that I kept is of good quality, is in fact medium firm, but has enough give in the top foam layer of foam to be comfortable for my size and weight and hopefully lasts a good long time. At this price point, I consider it a bargain. Add the very good customer support and It's all good for me. I rated this four stars based on the quality vs price of the product and vendor solution for the shipping error. The vendor response and quick refund for the shipping error is actually five stars, but there is no way for me to list that separately. I believe the more expensive mattress would have been a five star mattress for me, but the four star less expensive version is just fine for me. ... show more

    • A MUST-HAVE for side sleepers!!!

This mattress topper is insanely comfortable!! I had purchased one of those bed-in-a-box mattresses about 2 years ago and never really loved it. I sleep on my right side all of the time, and I was getting very bad muscle spasms on my left side. I was actually sleeping with a heating pad draped over my side to try and at least limit the spasms as best I could. I assumed it was from sleeping in the same position night after night. Then I researched it and found that side sleepers like me need a mattress that isn't too firm. So rather than buying a whole new mattress I purchased this topper. I unfurled it mid-morning and by bedtime it was ready to go. WOW!! Talk about an amazing night's sleep! Not just that but when I woke up my body wasn't sore at all, which was so welcome since I also suffer from very chronic back pain. It didn't solve my back pain since it's aggravated by other activities and by being tall, but when I lay on my bed now I just feel completely enveloped with comfort and relief. As for the pain in my side, that's almost completely gone already. I simply can't believe what a difference this 3" topper has made to my well being. As for the odor, my bed is made using a bamboo mattress pad, then a fitted sheet over that. After 5 days of sleeping on this I can still smell a very slight odor from the topper. I am hyper-sensitive to odors because I am a chronic migraine sufferer, so when I lay down my ears start to ring which is usually a sign a migraine is coming. But it hasn't yet caused a headache so to me the odor isn't enough to put me over the edge in that way. And I'm assuming that over time even this slight odor will dissipate. Perhaps since I didn't air the topper out for the recommended 48 hours after opening it and I then encased it in both the mattress pad and fitted sheet that it may take a little more time for the off-gassing to cease. One thing I'm thinking might happen is the topper may eventually bow in where I sleep but I can always turn it 180 degrees around, and then after it bows in again turn it over and continue to rotate it. I recommend you take a chance on this! I'm not being paid for my review with any perks, it's my genuine opinion. ... show more

Great bed. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too soft and it’s not. The top layer is soft enough and the bottom layer is firm but comfy. I’ve had it for a week and am happy with it. It’s heavy af though. No smell that I noticed.
