    • Really a good tent - the best choice. It does have a lot of room for improvement.
First, this is a nice tent. It's really grown on me. See what I did there? The following is constructive criticism; The velcro vents can leak light because the velcro is very stiff - it doesn't seal very well. The floor tray is not a tray - it is a piece of tent material. The velcro strips on the floor tray are not useful - they don't line up with anything, and they are too short. The frame is very flimsy without the tent put on - the poles do not fit snugly together. The top cross bars are nice to have, but should be able to clamp in place. One crossbar hangs lower than the other. I'm not sure why. I would like them to be the same. There should be 4 total, instead of two. The zipper seems acceptable. This could be a really nice product with some more development. I would prefer round vents at the bottom. This would allow me to use a myriad of fan configurations. It would also eliminate the light leaks around the mesh windows. I would like the top, round, side vents to be offset from one another, instead of both centered on each side. This would allow for more fan configurations, and they could be used independently. As it is, they are fighting for the same place in the tent, which happens to be where the light wants to be, too. That is a glaring oversight. This is a good value for the price, and probably one of the better 2x2 tents available in this price range. ... show more

Bought this tent and it was great. Bought another brands tent and it's horrible and filled with holes. I should have stuck with the Marshydro even though it was a bit more expensive because I just ruined a ton of plants with light leaks

    • Just needs lower vent holes
I purchased the Mars Hydro 27x27x63 because of it's unique size which fits perfectly in the space I have available and is tall enough to accommodate my Mars Hydro 300W. The quality of construction seems to be on par with other mid-level grow tents such as Apollo, zippers and windows are 99.9% light tight, I can see a few pinholes of light coming out from zippers/windows but it's negligable. I would have liked a detailed diagram of all vent holes in the description. My one gripe is that there is only one 4" vent hole towards the bottom of the tent (meant for power cords) and the other two 6" vent holes are on the top and upper left and right, an 8" on top, with another 4" in upper rear. One of the most basic principals of indoor growing is that you pump in cold air at the bottom and exhaust hot air out of the top so this oversight is really quite baffling. I am not happy about it but this is the size tent that works right now. I'm also not impressed with the price point, I paid $83 which is $10-$15 too much for this tent IMO. UPDATE: I received a response from the seller, they apologized for the late response and acknowledged the lack of lower vent holes. They told me that they would take my review into consideration for future designs. I set up the tent using the available vent holes and temperatures have remained acceptable so I updated my review to 4 stars. I would still prefer ducting my cold air into the bottom of the tent. ... show more

    • Decent but lacking availability of extra support beams
This is for the 2x2. I like that there are smaller two or three inch holes at top and bottom for cords. There are four inch holes at the top on each side but right across from each other. The bottom has three vents but would be nice if one of those four inch holes was at the bottom so I could use a four inch intake fan like the top has four inch exhaust fan. There is a huge six or eight inch hole at the top/roof of the tent but not sure how effective that is when the exhaust fan is pulling air from the top anyways. Only thing I wish I had and the reason for four stars is the available for extra support beams. There is one other popular brand of tent that sells extra beams if needed. Unfortunately, not for my size though. I tried contacting Mars to see if I could purchase or find an extra beam and they said no. Weird thing is the Amazon.ca sells this tent with 3 support beams but US Amazon doesn’t. ... show more
