Mario Badescu products can be kind of hit or miss for me. I have never found a moisturizer of theirs that doesn't break me out, or a toner that doesn't turn my face into an oily mess. However, this face wash is the one thing I have to have. It has a nice refreshing scent that isn't overpowering. Additionally, it is the only wash I have found that doesn't strip my face of moisture after two washes a day. I also like that it doesn't lather as my skin seems to be particularly sensitive to those kinds of products. If you're looking for a wash that is exfoliating or clears blackheads, this is not the wash for you. You're better off looking into brands like Saturday Skin or Peter Thomas Roth. On the other hand, if you're looking for a good, gentle cleanser to remove surface grime daily, this is a great option. ... show more

    • Perfect for my Sensitive Skin!
I’ve been using this product for quite some time, as many facial cleansers are made for sensitive skin but are actually harsh. I especially need help in colder months in the Midwest. I use this cleanser year-round, keeping one in the shower and one by my bathroom sink. If I’ve worn makeup or used tanning solution, I use cotton rounds and micellar water to remove as much dirt, etc. and then will follow up with this cleanser. It never leaves my skin dry and peeling like other cleansers. I immediately follow cleansing by using a vitamin C serum, maybe a toner or just moisturizer. Always moisturizer! I’ve been using the hydrating moisturizer with Biocare & hyaluronic acid by Mario Badescu. The price of the cleanser is more than competitively priced, effective and is long-lasting. What’s not to love? They also make a travel- sized bottle. I’ve bought it at Ulta. I refill it when traveling, so I can have the same happy face wherever I go! ... show more

    • Life-changer for acne prone skin
This product is amazing. My skin is prone to breakouts and very sensitive. I've used so many different products - Cetaphil, La Roche, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Clinique, Bioré, Differin, - the list goes on and on. Nothing helped. My skin would break out worse and worse. I used the Differin for over 6 months and continued to have the worst skin of my life, same with La Roche. I just gave up. I had purchased some Mario Badescu Rose Hand Cream and Rose Lip Balm and was super happy with both, so I thought what the heck. When it got here, I had 7 very deep under skin pimples on my chin and several blackheads. Like I said - I gave up trying. I used this once and my skin felt so soft and clean for the first time ever. I usually don't get that effect with cleanser. Plus, it smelled really good! So twice a day, I began washing my face with this stuff. I just enjoyed the way my skin felt and the scent so much that it wasn't a pain to wash my face - I enjoyed it. Like I said, I wasn't really concerned with the acne, so I didn't use any other product. By day 5, my skin is almost clear. I am not kidding you. This is serious. A face cleanser that smells good, softens my skin, does not dry it out, and treats my acne without going through step after step. I am crying. This has been an absolute life changer. I’ve searched for a cleanser for my combo sensitive skin for years! None of the popular’C’ cleansers worked for me, but this is my Holy Grail! I love the consistency, and the way it makes my skin feel: clean, but not stripped and bright!     • Wonderful product for my maturing skin
I started using this product in conjunction with the Gylcolic Acid Toner and Cleansing Milk with Carnation and Rice Oil. I found the cleansing milk works best for taking off makeup at the end of the day, so I use that on the evenings I wear makeup, but this product is great for daily washing. It's not foamy, but gel or lotion like, rinses off well. As a cleanser, it cleans very well without making my skin feel dry or too tight. I have sensitive skin, and most face washes make my skin feel like stretched too far over my face, and will usually break me out in my T-zone something fierce (and in my eyebrows of all places!) I use it in the mornings to freshen and wake my skin up, and at night when I'm makeup free. I tone after washing, and use a face cream I've used and trusted since the late 80s. This product line works so well for me so far, and I plan on being a lifelong customer. ... show more

Many folks just splash water on their face in the morning after an intense nighttime cleansing and skincare regimen; but if you have oily skin or perspire while sleeping, this is a soothing, gentle cleanser for the morning.
