I loved the design of this clock….at a glance it gives me all the info I need, time, day and date and inside and outdoor temperatures. Perfect size that can be seen across the room and the wood grain look frame is very attractive. Imagine my dismay when, after less than 3 months enjoying this clock, the outside temperature sensor stopped working! I contacted Amazon who referred me to the seller who in turn, said I should contact the manufacturer because it had a 2 year warranty. Luckily, I had retained all the information that came with the purchase so I was able to contact the manufacturer with the information provided. They referred me to the technical department for troubleshooting…after a few questions about my problem, I was told to remove the batteries from both the clock and the outdoor sensor (we had already replaced the batteries in the sensor thinking that could be the problem). The technician told me to leave the batteries out of both for 24 hours, then replace them and wait another 24 hours. If that did not fix the problem, I was to call them back and they would replace the clock. I was so happy that after the required time, my clock and outside sensor were once again working perfectly! I highly recommend this clock especially now that I know the manufacturer will stand behind their products! ... show more

This replaced a 15 year old LaCrosse model of similar function that finally gave up the ghost. I purchased this item based upon positive reviews and other due diligence. Setup was super easy. The instructions are in plain English, no guessing or head scratching required. I followed the procedure and had no difficulties getting the atomic time and outdoor temp to sync up within a few minutes. Time will sync to the NIST signal broadcast from Boulder, CO. I am 1100 miles away from Colorado on relatively flat terrain, and the synchronization works well on the ground level of my home. There is an indicator in the upper right corner of the clock that depicts the time signal strength. There are toggles on the back for Daylight Savings ON-AUTO-OFF; Time Zone selection; RCC(time signal) reception ON/OFF. There are push buttons on the back for alarm setup, Fahrenheit/Celsius selection, manual outdoor sensor sync and manual time signal sync. The unit came setup with Daylight Saving and RCC set to “ON”. It’s important that the RCC switch be left in the ON position if automatic time sync is desired. I had to set my Time Zone using the toggle on the back, and insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor and the main unit. That’s it! The device did the rest, and it was fully functional within five minutes. Temperature accuracy appears to be about one degree (+/-) for both inside and outside. That is acceptable for my intended usage. Place the outdoor sensor as directed within a shaded, rain protected area about six feet off the ground for best results. I can’t speak to reliability as the device is only a few weeks old, but there have been zero issues to date. I would recommend this product. ... show more

I was skeptical because of the price, but this clock is worth it. It's very clear and easy to read and connects well to the outdoor sensor and the Colorado time thing. The batteries that are supplied are fresh and are lasting well. Good batteries are essential for these clocks to make the display sharp with good contrast. The wood tone rim blends better with my bedroom furniture than the traditional black most of these clocks come in. The setup is easy. I set the time on mine right away and didn't wait for it to sync with the service overnight, but I could have. It also synched with the outdoor temperature sensor (there's a button for that when you get both clock and sensor placed where you want them). It might have done that automatically overnight too, but I'm impatient :). I had a SkyScan clock in that location previously and knew it was a good for syncing with Colorado, but the SkyScan external sensor started acting weird and no amount of refreshing batteries, resetting, or changing location resolved the problem. I couldn't find a replacement sensor either. The clock still works fine so I'll just put it in a different location in the house where seeing the outside temperature isn't important to me, but in the bedroom, I use that to choose my clothes and need a reliable reading. This clock is expensive compared to others, but so far I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. ... show more

The clock is easy to see and syncs fairly easily. It took several nights to sync up, not that big of a deal. The outdoor temperature device seems fairly accurate at night, but the daytime temps seem a little high, probably where I have it located, which is under an awning in front of my house, tried several places but temps are still a little high. This is an amazing clock, and for a good price. The size is great for any wall, and the dials are very easy to read from a distance, as they are very well defined on the screen. Better than that, at night when you turn off the room lights, the clock does not bother you at all with that glow that other clocks have. The setup was also easy, but be advised that it may take a whole 24 hours before the atomic clock sync comes through (which happens daily in the middle of the night), just like the instructions warn us. Mine was totally off for the entire day I installed it, but when I woke up the next day, it was all synchronized perfectly. So patience does pay off. After fiddling around with various clocks, I am glad I finally found one that checks all the blocks. ... show more
