Description

The MM7025 Stereo Power Amplifier, measuring less than 14” deep from front panel to rear speaker terminals, can be placed almost anywhere – in a cabinet or on a shelf. A detachable AC cord makes placement easy, and when space is minimal it can be rack mounted with the optional rack mount kit (sold separately). The unit’s advanced technology serves all your listening needs. Featuring current feedback circuitry and a high-capacity power supply - the EI-core transformer, the amplifier ensures distortion-free sonic reproduction of the most complex audio sources, be it dynamic musical peaks or whispered dialog. The MM7025 encourages various system configurations - for dedicated two-channel listening or as zone amplifiers to power speakers in different rooms. The subtly curved aluminum/glass resin front panel adds a sophisticated touch that complements any decor while the central porthole display brings you an “at a glance” view of the amplifier’s operating status.

  • The perfect amp for my system.
I am super happy with this amp. I am using it to power the front two channels in a 5.1.2 system. I have a yamaha rx-a1080, klipsch r-820f's in front. Klipsch r-34c for center, and r-51m's for surround. Also a pair of rp-140sa for the reflecting front elevation speakers. I am also using a Hsu uls-15 mk2 sub, and an ac infinity aircom t10 fan. I only mention all of that so you can see that I am not running top end equipment, nor is it cheapo junk. The 820's want 150w rms, and I figured that with all channels driven I was probably getting less than half of that. The avr is rated 110w 8ohm with 2channels driven. I am super happy with the sound. My listening room/home theater is also my living room. My front channels sound more live than ever. I use spotify premium for my music source mostly. I only got the fan because I have my turntable on top of the amp and it wasn't letting it breathe properly. Now with the fan on "smart mode" (running either level 1 or 0 out of 6) the amp stays right at 80 degrees F. At this point, I know I have plenty of power for my system, I can't hear any hiss or anything like that. Gunshots in movies sound like gunshots, delicate voices sound like the performer is in the room with you. I love it. ... show more

  • Good Amp But Not Perfect
This is a good amp that beats out the integrated amp of the Marantz NR1510 and the NAD C 268 but it is not worth the price point. The Emotiva XPA2 is only $199 and is a marketed improvement over the Marantz. This amp doesn't have the clarity or bass responsiveness that I was anticipating for the money. ... show more

  • No Audio Output - DEAD on arrival
First blinking red light was that the internal packaging seemed disturbed like I wasn't the first to open this box. After hooking up the power amp, there was no output. I troubleshot it to the power amp, all other outputs worked. Unit definitely had no audio output. Then, after a short warmup, the unit powers itself down. I disconnected all cables except AC cable. After re-attaching the AC cable, the unit comes on for just a moment and then powers itself down as if there is an internal short. I suspect this was a resale of a used or previously returned unit. External packaging was in tact, but looked like it had scooted around a warehouse for years. Internal packaging seemed to be tampered with. Is Amazon allowing this supplier, Audio Advice to restock remanufactured units as new? Or was this a mix up in inventory good versus bad units. Usually bad units are tagged out - if there are good quality control practices. Is the seller getting rid of old stock? I would like to know the manufacturing date of this unit, and I'll be following up with Marantz with the SN too see the history of multiple sales. Marantz doesn’t design junk, but stuff happens. Either way, I purchased a new unit and it was non-functional, then dead on arrival. I will get a full refund and NOT a replacement. Purchasd the same model from B&H and that unit had a dead XLR input channel! Marantz has quality issues with this model now made in Vietnam exploiting cheaper labor for more profits. Audio Advice will respond quickly and ask you to take down a negative review. Correction PLEAD with you to take down the negative review. But isn't that the whole point of reviews? You only have one chance to make a first impression and Audio Advice blew it. Bye bye. ... show more

  • Wonderful amp at this price point
I have a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 804 D3 and 606s at home. I’ve been trying to decide on an amp for the 804s, so I’ve been listening to a lot of stuff. I was curious about the Marantz amp to pair with my 1510 slim receiver - and I have to say I’m impressed. The receiver is pretty “thin” sounding once the volume goes up. Despite the relatively modest 140wpc on this amp, it brings back the power in spades. Compared to more expensive Rotel amps, I find the Marantz to be more full, warm, and musical, perhaps at the slight loss of detailed transparency. The amp doesn’t really stand up to the likes of McIntosh, where the 456 or 9000 far richer detail and musicality. With the McIntosh you can feel every vibration of a string, where as with the Marantz you hear beautiful music. So there it is, this is a great little amp that hangs with competitors 2-3x the price, but very rightfully so doesn’t hang with competitors 10x the price. I think on anything less than B&W 800 series level speakers, this Marantz amp would have you very well covered. ... show more

  • Unexpected audiophile quality!!!
I had to replace my beloved Classé CA200 amp, which while admittedly old, still sounded great until my right channel blew out. I have other Marantz gear in the living room so I replaced the Classé amp in our Lanai with a less powerful and far less expensive Marantz. In fact, the Marantz cost less than half of what the repair of the 20 year old amp would cost. Guess what? The power is perfectly fine and the sound stage is noticeably better. The bass is significantly tighter and there is only clean, hiss and hum free sound. In fact, there is better quality sound throughout the entire power band. The sound surprised me because this application has better speakers than where my other Marantz gear is used. I can hear significant improvement in my higher end Avalon Accoustic speakers with the Marantz and they’re a relative bargain. When the time comes, I’ll certainly consider replacing the Classé equipment in our home theater application with Marantz multi-channel gear. Surprisingly great sounding. ... show more

  • Good Amp.
While the amp is a good amp, but still under powered from what I had. My old school Sony was so much better at doing music, the Marantz combo is good at streaming and media like movies and TV, but I want music performance. But my Sony was old school and didn't have the connectors for my components anymore. ... show more

  • Simple strong power
Added to drive a pair of. ML 40i ‘ s. Bi wired. I’ve heard new sounds from records that I’ve been listening to for decades. The martin logans are special but this amp pushes them perfectly. Equipment such as this amp is something my Son will enjoy as it will outlast me! Rock on !

  • Overpriced
I prefer the Schiit Vidar for less money. This is a class D amplifier using generic parts in a well built amplifier that sounds just fine. It just costs too much money, it's not a particularly sophisticated topology and the parts are cheapish. See the parts on the Vidar, the banana clips are much happier in these speaker connections trust me. ... show more
