I have a king size bed and I made the mistake of getting a king size down-alternative comforter. The king size are so huge, cumbersome and you MUST take it to a place that has industrial-sized washers and dryers. So, since I'm the only one sleeping in this huge bed, I decided to try a full size instead: smaller but I can easily handle it, wash it in my machine and dry it my machine. I have slept under this down-alternative for about 3 weeks and found it to be warm (I do use a fleece blanket on top), soft fabric and washes and dries in my machines perfectly! Came out of the dryer like I had just bought it new! You may need a larger size but this is the best down-alternative comforter I have ever owned! And you can't beat the price!

This duvet insert is thinner than traditional down alternatives. It is sufficient enough to give a little fluff (about an inch and a half of thickness) to the bed. It is light weight and pretty warm. My house stays at 69°F and I'm always freezing, but my hubby gets really hot. We have fans on at night as well, I have woken up sweating a few times. He has been sweating almost every night since we purchased the duvet insert. It's very sufficient at keeping you warm, however it might be too much for some one who gets hot at night. It's currently the end of July and the hottest time of the year so it may be the actual air temp/humidity affecting how hot it is. I think it's a great price for what you are getting. It is an average/ better duvet alternative insert. Don't expect huge, fluffy -thick pillow squares, think light weight, sufficient filled squares. The quality is overall made well. It was vacuum packed and sealed very well when I received in. No stitches were torn and I haven't heard any of the stitching popping when tugging on the insert.

This duvet insert is a nice weight for cool, but not cold. temperatures (around 60-70 at night). It is nice and fluffy, and has a decent weight to it, but is, of course, not as weighty as actual down. It has corner and side loops to keep it in place within the duvet cover. I would say it definitely needs a cover. It would not look very nice on its own.

The comforter is soft and warm, but very light, which we wanted. The only problem is that it’s not wide enough. I bought a California King and it’s still too narrow. Also the color is darker than I ordered but I’m not returning it because it came vacuum packed and there’s no way I can replicate that.
