This is the 4th time I have bought Manuka Honey through Amazon. My massage therapist turned me on to this product several years ago and I swear by it and have touted its wonders to anyone who will listen. Honey has long been known for its healing ability but Manuka Honey takes it one step further.. from the Manuka bush in New Zealand made by bees that use no other flowers to gather the pollen for their honey. This honey is a great addition to tea or for cooking but it outshines everything else on the market for its healing abilities. I am not a medical professional so speaking only as a lay person, I can say for me personally, the Manuka honey has healed burns, cuts and abrasions within a 24-48 hr. period of time. I have used it for a sore throat adding a bit of juice etc. even makes it better. But where Manuka sets the benchmark is in its amazing healing abilities. My husband is diabetic and from time to time he would get a small injury on his foot or toe.. with neuropathy this is especially dangerous. I would spray the injury with hydrogen peroxide I use this because the number on the Manuka Honey is based on the amount of natural hydrogen peroxide that is in the honey, a natural ingredient in honey which I was not aware of.. anyway once its clean I would bandage the injury with nothing but a bandage coated with Manuka Honey. The wound would be healed in less than a week. Previous to the Manuka Honey it would take weeks to heal any foot injury. Now I am treating a diabetic ulcer ... again this is my own choice, I am using nothing but Manuka honey and the wound is healing much faster than we were told it would heal. Go on line and read " the wonders of Manuka Honey " Its safe for animals and heals them as well as humans. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the natural way of treating cuts, scrapes and scratches.. Using it twice a day a jar of the Manuka Honey will last over a month. I keep it in the refrigerator. There are many brands available but I find Dr. Manuka to be the best choice for my needs. KUDOS to Amazon for carrying this product. ... show more
