  • Highly Recommended for DJI Phantoms
This is an awesome back pack, I highly recommend it if you are flying a DJI Phantom. I keep so much stuff in this bag, and it fits no problem, all my stuff has a specific spot that it's supposed to be in. This backpack was made for the Phantom 3 and previous models, but i'm using it for the Phantom 4. There are specific compartments that were made for the battery on the phantom 3, and it does not fit the phantom 4, but it's ok. I put the batteries in the side compartments, and used the battery slots for my GoPro's instead. (See Image) When I first went to purchase this backpack, someone had left a review saying the Phantom 4 drone body does not fit inside of the back pack, and they are incorrect. You can adjust all the compartments and pouches that are inside of this backpack. There are 3 removable zipper pouches, and 1 'shelf' type compartment that holds the remote. They are all adjustable. (see image) There are two side zipper pockets, one on each side. I use one for the set of blades im currently using, and then a spare set just incase I break one. (see image) There is a small opening on the front flap, that makes it easy to drop the drone in and remove it on the go, so you dont have to completely put it away. I typically use this when i've set it all up, and then moving to another spot to shoot some photos. You drop the drone in, and it has three clips to hold in inside of the bag. (see photos) There is a side opening for a laptop and an Ipad, which I use all the time.. I also put the DJI ipad shade inside of the side pouch with it. It fits no problem. My Ipad doesn't have a case on it, but it could fit if you had a case. My Laptop does have a case, and it fits to problem. I have a 13" MacBook, I would easily see this thing holding a 17" laptop. The only thing I don't like on this bag, are the waist straps, they are big and clunky and I never use them.. I've been debating if I should cut them off. We'll see. I highly recommend this bag. Get yourself one. ... show more

  • Best bag made for Phantom 4
I have been a customer of Amazon since 1999 and this is my first review which should speak loudly to my 5 star rating..Like others, I was on the fence for buying this pack for my Phantom 4. There were two issues that had me hesitate which were battery and drone fit. Yes, the batteries are too big for the pockets but they fit the charger perfect (charging block in one and cable in other). You can then put two batteries in one of the zipper bags. Second, a lot of people questioned how snug the drone fits. I don't notice any tightness or extension when zipping up the bag with drone inserted upside down. Had the battery slots not be labeled as such this could easily be a branded a Phantom 4 bag. Construction of this bag is impeccable. I have various bags/luggage from North Face, Osprey, Tumi and Camelback. Tumi comes close in quality but its also a $500+ piece of luggage. Huge props to Manfrotto for a bag that is versatile and beautifully built. As fyi, I have the following in my bag with no issue. - Phantom 4 - Controller - 3 batteries (spanning two of the zipper bags) - Various cables and charges for all devices - 8 props - Case with lens filters - Case with memory cards - 3 battery charging stand - 9.7" iPad Pro w/ keyboard (slides right into tablet slot) - 15 Macbook Pro Even with all of above the top compartment is empty. In addition to cost this is the biggest benefit over the new DJI bag. DJI lacks the top compartment requiring a second bag for a camera. My only complaint for this bag is it doesn't have double zippers allowing for a small TSA lock. This can be easily remedied by weaving a cable between zippers but aesthetically that isn't the greatest. ... show more

  • WORTH IT! Perfect for what I needed.
Just in case anyone is still looking for a good Phantom bag: After researching and reading reviews on various bags, I chose the Manfrotto D1 and am really glad I did. I have the Phantom 4 and was able to fit everything that came with the P4, extra batteries, extra props, cables, iPad, Cannon 60D camera with 3 lenses (50mm, 70-200mm, and 18-135mm) in this bag along with the tri-pod (externally), and still had extra storage space in the little red detachable cases. And yes, even with reviews saying no, the P4 batteries fit perfectly into the battery compartments. The only recommendation I would have is to get motor covers for the rotors (just in case). The way the drone sits, seems protected enough, but I just don't want to take any chances. I got mine for 6.99 on Amazon. I purposefully got this case for two reasons: A-I hike a lot in the mountains with various temperatures. So, comfort (with back issues) was very important to me. The padding on this bag is perfect for hiking. It may get a little warm on the back in the Summer (we'll see), but what bag really doesn't. B-I got this because I am also a photographer. I love the fact that I can fit 3 different lenses, my larger camera body, and strap in the top compartment perfectly. This was perhaps the largest selling point for me. I didn't want to have to carry 2 bags. Overall, a fantastic bag and worth the price. I have seen many other bags cheaper that look cluttered and lacking in good reviews, and others that look great but substantially higher in price point with no DSLR space. Oh, and the design is great too. It's sleek nature makes it feel less bulky and more comfortable on the back. ... show more
