I was escorting a veteran on an absolutely free flight to view the monuments dedicated to military personnel who served in various wars. I this bag in 2019 and I still use it! My main goal was to find a college backpack that was waterproof, fits my laptop, and does not get too dirty. This bag ticks all those boxes. My only complaint with this bag is that it is not stretchy and can not fit in too many things with your laptop, I would not recommend it for travelling. This is a very versatile back pack that can serve multiple purposes. It is big enough to carry school essentials. It has several pockets including one of each side for water bottles. The only problem I have is this bag has to be washed very frequently as it attracts dirt and absorbs sweat. Also, I have had to sew back the front zipper twice thus far. I started taking the train more, so I needed a light, comfortable backpack, and this seems to be the right one for the job. It is light, comfortable, and perfectly holds my laptop and everything I need for the day with room to add more. I am not sure I will ever use the lock for it, but I appreciate having it. However, I do not feel the lock is necessary, especially with the ability to hide the zippers down in the side pockets where my umbrella and water bottle are. I walked home 5.2 miles yesterday with it full, and it never felt heavy or in the way. I have not tried it on my bike yet, but I hope to be able to bike home with it, too. The zippers seem pretty solid, too, and there are plenty of pockets. I love that the side pockets have an additional strap to keep things locked down. I am not sure I will use it for traveling, but I think it would work with a carry-on but probably not for a solo bag. It would certainly fit in Frontier's box, but it's pretty small for a solo bag for travel. ... show more
