  • Works great!
Style: Cutting Attachment
Works great with my Milwaukee drill. Easy to use, even for my 70 year old mother! It was used to cut corrugated steel roofing panels. Works better with two people, but one person can manage it.

  • If you're looking to cut bent metal, I suggest a nibbler. For flat, it's awesome
Style: Cutting Attachment
I purchased the sheers drill attachment after seeing a video about the "new" dewalt sheer attachment. I read the reviews about the dewalt and several made comments about durability. "When the dewalt doesn't hold up, buy Malco" . So I checked out the reviews on them. I got to use them today for the first time. They are awesome. They ripped through the metal I was cutting like butter (not sure the gage but to put a crease in it, I need a hammer. I can't just fold it and smash it down). My advice would be to look for the upgraded model though. It comes with the drill clamp that makes it one handed. Without the drill clamp you have to hold the handle on the sheers also. You can however buy a after market drill clamp that works, which is what I did. I would buy this product again since I already have a drill clamp. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: Cutting Attachment
I used this to cut metal roof panels for a playfort. It works great. It takes a bit of practice to cut where the metal bends, but once I figured that out, it worked great. Now I'm building a shed for firewood and this make quick work of cutting the metal roof.

  • Great - but takes some getting used to
Style: Cutting Attachment
I used this to cut a bunch of rippled metal roofing to make planter boxes. Using this tool was much easier than tin snips or an angle grinder - I'll never go back. However, you have to get used to it: if you hold the tool at the wrong angle, it'll stop making progress. There's a certain "correct" speed for the drill (slow if you're cutting across ripples and need to guide it up and down, fast for straight runs). You have to be careful to hold the tool to keep the cutting angle just right (so that the shears cut cleanly), and the forward pressure just right (as you push it along the workpiece). I find I need to focus when using it. It's a two-handed tool - and a little finicky to use - so you'll want to clamp your workpiece to something when making the cuts. But it works great, and I'm happy I have it. Way better than the alternatives. ... show more

  • Works great on hardwire cloth
Style: Cutting Attachment
This worked great cutting hardwire chicken cloth for the chicken coupe I built for my daughter. Saved so much time and my hands from cutting it with tin snips. Tip and trick. Make sure that the wire is on the bottom when you cut it and it will ride along it and cut the top wires clean at the edge!

  • Well worth it for hobby / crafters who use sheet metal
Style: Cutting Attachment
I was planning to steal an idea I saw on the internet and build some outdoor planters using corrugated steel roofing panels (and a wood frame). I bought the panels and some manual tin snips and got to work. I gave up after 5 minutes with horribly cut-up hands and jagged curled-up cuts. I then tried a jigsaw with a metal blade, and while that did work, it was VERY loud and left metal filings everywhere. I more or less gave up on the planters until I saw this product and thought I'd try it. Clearly I've never used power metal shears before, because I became ecstatic about how easy it was to cut those panels with this device. It took a few tries to get the feel of it right (especially on the corrugated ridges), but then cutting those panels was a piece of cake. I was also pleasantly surprised that there wasn't much torque on the red handle while using it. For some reason I was envisioning having to hold onto that handle for dear life to try and keep it from spinning along with the drill. The spinning part that gets stuck into the drill has very little resistance, and so I was actually able to rig up a bracket to hold the handle in place (like the bracket they sell separately) using only zip-ties. So while I can't compare this to a quality power shear, it beats the heck of trying to cut metal by hand. ... show more

  • Amazing
Style: Cutting Attachment
These are awesome. No more cutting hardware cloth with wire cutters. These make the job so much easier. I’m always building animal cages and such so this will definitely be at hand. Love it.
