  • Great power for its size
Style: Bare Tool
I do not normally provide feedback or give reviews. But in this case I felt it was needed. The Makita XWT06Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Square Drive Impact Wrench, 3/8-Inch is an excellent tool. I read the reviews and a thought struck me. To the people who know tools, I might ask, would you go to your tool box an pull out a 3/8 inch ratchet, couple up a ¾ inch socket or larger attempt to pull a lug nut off a truck or a spring shackle from a piece of farm machinery ? If you did you would be a fool. For a job like that you need a ¾ in or even a 1 inch drive impacted wrench. This is not that! This tool is well balance with the battery install. The light is ware is should be on the work. I took a 5/16 bolt, put it into a vice and tighten down. I put the right size nut on it. I took the impact wrench and ‘ran it to ground’ (beyond the threads). The bolt was hot and it was still driving when I quit! I have no doubt I could have snapped the bolt had I continued. That is more than enough power for this kind of tool. I would give it 6 starts if I could! ... show more

  • Amazing tool
Style: Bare Tool
This is way better than a snap on. I am an auto technician and have switched all my cordless tools from snap on to makita for several reasons 1. Price 2. This is so far holding up better than my snap on did 3. Parts are easily available online and cheap 4. Battery interchangeability 5. Battery life - I use 5a/h batteries and they hold up better than snap on. I have also owned matco and Mac cordless tools but I didn’t compare to those because they are absolute garbage ... show more

  • Another great makita tool.
Style: Bare Tool
I normally don't give 5 stars but this little impact deserves them. It's twisted off a couple of 3/8 bolts and broke loose a couple nuts that were welded into place and not meant to come off. So far the only thing it has failed to break loose was 1 of 5 lug nuts on a jeep that's been sitting for a few years. I had to use a breaker bar and pry bar to get it loose so I'm not disappointed. ... show more

  • I'm a little shocked.
Style: Bare Tool
I've been buying Makita tools since 1979 and still have my first Sawzall from 1979. However, I can't imagine this will last that long. Most noticeable at first is the reverse/forward switch, it's weak and very cheap feeling.

Style: Bare Tool
I'm a heavy duty diesel tech and constantly use my cordless impact. I already had the brushless Makita hammer drill and hex impact driver so when I burnt up my Matco cordless impact I over nighted this. Can't judge long term quite yet but so far I love it. Has a ton of power and has a great feel. Being Makita I'm sure it should last a good while ... show more

  • THIS 3/8 MAY NOT BE THE STRONGEST, BUT IT WILL OUT LAST THE REST.
Style: Bare Tool
IF YOU ARE A MECHANIC THIS WOULD BE A GOOD TOOL TO HAVE, AT THE DEALERSHIP OR FOR THE SIDE JOBS.

  • Not all that I expected
Style: Bare Tool
1. It feels less powerful than what the specs say. 2. Mine didn't come in a box. The impact wrench just came in a FedEx bag. Not sure what happened to the box or if there even was a box.
