I use this product, just like most of the contractors and journeymen in New York City. Most guys on the job have Makita drivers and drills. Why? You can find out yourself if you use one after using some other brand! Lightweight but sturdy. Strong and not brutish! Easy quick charging, the batteries are strong - long lasting charges. All the great qualities of "good" tools without the high prices. And as a bonus: with most people on the job Makita equipped, it's easy to borrow/lend batteries and chargers to others, while, if you need a drilll or driver, it's easy to find a loaner on the job - having a tool that you are used to, is invaluable on the job if you are performing at a high caliber. Accessories: a small vacuum, other types of saws, and a great accessory/friend to have on the job - the Makita LED worklites. Bright and very practically designed, I can't leave home without it - and all of these tools use the same batteries. Think of the conveniences, the savings in cash, and time. I have used the other brands. I stick with Makita. I remember the first time I used one, my boss's. The work was so much easier because of the power, that is very controllable, the ergonomics, and durability. I was shocked when he said he'd been using the same driver for 5 years!!! At hard working jobs! I threw my other set of drills and drivers in the trash! Bit the bullet, Got out the charge card, and ordered my first Makita cordless driver. The other guys on the job congratulated me on becoming "pro minded". Don't wast money on inferior tools.     • Quality Makita set at a Great price
This set came with a carry bag(honestly a little too small, but a freebie is a freebie) the impact driver, a charger and a battery. The cost of the whole set is pretty close to the cost of a single Makita battery. It's like buying a battery and getting the rest for free. The charger is really fast(took about 20 minutes) The battery life is pretty good: I have used the tool almost every day for things around the house, and have had to charge the battery only a couple of times. The torque and power of the impact driver are more than adequate for everyday small jobs. I cannot comment on whether it would be good for commercial type work as I do not use it for those kinds of purposes. The Makita brand is known for strong,reliable and trustworthy tools and products, I wouldn't hesitate in buying other products they make. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying that I received what I paid for, everything was well packed and works as expected. One thing that surprised me a little bit is that everything was packed in a clear bag and taped, except the impact drill itself, not a big deal just interesting. There was some residue on the drill from tumbling and scratching around the box I suppose, but no scratches nor any damage at all. I can understand why some people were under impression that they got used drill. I have Makita drill from before and the reasons why I got Makita again is, well tools are great and of great quality, and performance is superb for my needs. But I can switch the batteries around, I have one one battery that I got with he previous drill 18V-3A as well, and I can switch the batteries around now. So I have two batteries now, if one gets empty I have another on on standby. Talking about battery, I really like the fact that there is a sensor on battery itself where you can check how full/empty battery is. While charger looks exactly like the one I have from before, this one does not have that cooling fan that turns on, once when the battery is connected to charger. Meaning this charger is quiet and there is not sound/noise while charging the battery. Charger is great just like the the other one as well, it took about 25 in for a full charge of almost empty battery. That's great if you are asking me While I would prefer if the drill would came with that plastic tool box like the one I got before, this one comes in a bag that is pictured, not that big of a deal. Plastic box would be better but this bag is pretty nice as well, it fits drill when battery is connected and charger as well. There is still some room for other stuff, like drill bits etc. Comes with a belt clip as well, overall this impact driver is awesome and will do a great job. ... show more

    • Brushless and better than ever.
As nearly everyone now knows, an impacter is the perfect tool for driving screws. It does the most difficult work apparently effortlessly. There is none of the constant wrist twisting that occurs when you try to use a drill. This is my second Makita impacter. The first, after many years of very hard use, is still going, but I decided it was time for it to have a younger assistant. This package deal also gives me a more sophisticated battery charger and an additional battery to add to my Makita collection. The new tool has a brushless motor, so it should last even longer than the earlier versions. It maintains good torque even at very low speeds, important when you're trying not to bury the screw heads in the wood. The light can be turned on with a slight trigger press that doesn't activate the motor. It is quite compact, allowing it to slip into tight spaces. A great tool at a good price. ... show more
