  • A boon for woodworkers!
Husband made cuts with his Makita Miter Saw on the floor for years (destroying his knees) before I bought him this stand nearly a year ago. Easy to transport and set up/down. It has been a huge help during projects like our recent offsite renovation of our granddaughter's bedroom where we installed all new baseboard, quarter round and door trim. ... show more

  • B minus
The stand is pretty good overall with room for improvement. Comparing this to my DeWalt stand this is replacing it comes up short in one area, the supports on the ends of the stand are pretty anemic and Makita would benefit from different options that could be purchased separately, wider supports/ stops are a must for me. ... show more

  • Mediocre at best...
This stand is kind of a letdown i got it to go with there cordless 12" dual bevel sliding compound saw,it arrived with rust all over it but rubbed out with oil, the clamps that mount to the saw for "quick release" suck with one hook on opposite sides of each making it near impossible to unlatch there 70 pound saw from, both hooks should be on the same side or should be spring loaded so you can move them when not clamped,i have to unbolt the saw to remove it every time. and lastly i am using it for there heaviest saw at about 70 pounds but this thing is supposed to hold 500 pounds and it is wobbly as hell even on a flat floor with the feet adjusted the weight of the saw slightly bends the rail when i use the slide on the saw...as much as i love makita (just bought about 5k in new tools from them this month alone) they really missed the mark on this stand it feels like cheep chinese crap with a makita branding on it. ... show more

  • Awkward to use handle broke off first day
I had the saw on the stand and picked up the handle to move it over a foot and the handle snapped off made of cheap plastic. Getting the saw in and out of the stand is very awkward and hard to do alone. Don't recommend this product.
