Description

Makita polishers are preferred by automotive detailers and marine enthusiasts, and the 5” dual action Random orbit Polisher (PO5000C) is packed with enhanced features for consistent performance, job after job. The dual action control offers “Random orbit with forced rotation” or “Random orbit with free rotation”, and the variable speed control dial has five speed settings so users are able to set the speed and action to the application. Additional performance features include an electronic controller that automatically applies additional power to maintain Constant speed, even under load, and also provides soft start for smoother start-ups and longer gear life. For added convenience the Polisher has an ergonomic knob handle and rubberized back handle with lock-on switch, and a rubberized tool rest for upside-down placement of the tool. It is ideal for commercial-duty polishing applications.

Please be careful when ordering this unit this is the Japanese Market unit which comes with a 220 plug you will have no issues using it on a 110 circuit the only concern is you may have to grease the unit as that is the most common complaint with the Japanese Market polisher is they do not add enough grease or they put cheap Grease one or the other I am unsure I ended up removing the grease that came in my unit as it was loud and noisy and applied a good Grease which solved all the issues. I have had this unit for about a year now my original Makita is the American version which came perfect however it is almost double the cost. I would recommend the Japanese unit for Price alone as long as you know to deal with the grease situation ... show more

Love the forced action there’s so much power, it’s different too hang onto at first due to the forced rotation vs other random orbital. I’m using it for buffing boats and it’s quickly become one of my “go too” buffers

Was deciding between this or a rupes mille or the lr21, got this as a gift from my girl for me to open my mobile detailing and at first once you open the box. The bag where the pads come (3 bags) 2 of them were opened and used. There is some compound residue on the orange pad and the other pad its edge was cut. I didnt care since I have more pads. But machine sounds really loud and I have been around these enough and tried them (but the ones I have tried are from detailers that have been using it) but mine. Brand new. Sounds really loud. It is also really heavy and you will get tired really fast. ... show more

5 stars for the unit 0 stars for craft and sound hub seller. As other reviewers mentioned, they are selling Japanese exported models that are 100 V not our standard North American 120 V. Please be very cautious using this on a North American outlet as it is not rated for it and could cause damage don’t know. When I sent a message to the seller, they admitted that it was a Japanese model and I could just return if I didn’t like very misleading. ... show more
