  • Great Framing Nailer
Style: Nailer
I grew up in construction and have used several brands. I picked this one up to complete my shop this year. As expected, solid design, easy to use and I am sure will last me many many years. I have never used the cordless products: Nailers, Saws, etc but can see they remove the complexity of keeping your hoses from tangling up with you and your project. If I ever tackle a big project again, I may go cordless but this one will do me well for the foreseeable future ... show more

  • Makita Power!
Style: Nailer
So, I am not a framer, but some jobs call for some framing. I had an old Porter Cable and it finally died in the middle of a job. It had already been repaired a couple of times so it was time for the graveyard. Saw this Makita on sale and took a chance as I am a big Makita fan. At first it seemed big and heavy but then I got used to it and love it. Yes dragging a hose sucks but not as bad as the price of a new Paslode! Good nail capacity and it ended up having several guys use it without breaking it. Everyone liked it. One guy said it was a little to big but if a 59 year old man can handle it then so can you. That being said, I am not banging that thing all day. But I did find the more I used it I got use to the weight and realized it is well balanced when you let it fly. And the price is right. ... show more

  • Does everything it is supposed to do.
Style: Nailer
Good tool, easy to use, well balanced. Coming in at just over 8 lbs it sounds heavy but it is so well balanced it feels lighter than that. Aluminum nail tube is light and strong, the air chuck is offset to keep the air hose off to the side and out of your way. Heavy duty metal belt clip is reversible for left or correct handed users. I fired over 1,000 nails with ZERO issues. Keyless depth adjustment is nice also. Stop scrolling and buy this framing nailer. ... show more

  • Works good but no owners manual or warranty card in the cheap cardboard box
Style: Nailer
First Makita product I have ever purchased and Im surprised that there was no owners manual, no warranty card, nothing in the box except the nailer. The box was also made of cheap wavy cardboard that basically ripped apart completely when opening the product. Kind of weird. Apart from that the nailer has performed flawlessly zero issues. Only negative is that it safety stops when you get to about 5 nails in the strip so you have to add more nails for it to work so you never actually get to finish up the full strip. ... show more

  • Easy to use, Heavy for one hand
Style: Nailer
The media could not be loaded. The nailer is very heavy. It is effortless to use, connect it to the air compressor, and it is done. One of the best things is the "advisor" when the nails are almost empty; you can't continue working if you don't reload it. The "advisor" is checking the last three pins in the magazine. ... show more

  • Don't waste your money
Style: Nailer
Makita used to build a reliable product. No more. I bought this air nailer 13 months ago, used it this past year on a project. Yesterday it died! I had a Ridgid Nailer before that, and it lasted 12 years.

  • Does the job
Style: Nailer
The Makita AN924 is a solidly built pneumatic framing nailer that is easy to set up and use. It is light and well balanced. I find that it significantly speeds up the framing process. I use this nailer with a safety coupler on the hose that allows me to disconnect the air supply from the tool while keeping the hose attached. This prevents the possibility of an accidental firing of the tool. ... show more
