The concept is great however, the execution not so great. It didn’t work well with foundations or concealers, almost impossible to blend. Eye primer went on great but then the eyeshadows were lack luster and barely would stick to the paper. Also, the size of the model on paper isn’t that big compared to a real person. Bottom line, if you’re trying to learn makeup then practice on yourself or someone else. This book would be great for crayons. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I'm not great at makeup unless it's on a person. So this is a useful book, but it's hard to blend any type of makeup. The 2nd picture is all liquid makeup, difficult to blend it evenly. The 1st picture is powdered eyeshadow and regular lipstick. Hard to blend and keep on the paper. The lipstick looks great on a person but horrible on the paper. It was so hard to blend and lighter on the paper then it would be on skin. I honestly am not a huge fan but it is nice for beginners. (Volunteers are better in the long run though.) ... show more

I had been hand-drawing face and eye charts for my granddaughter who has become greatly interested in makeup. These drawings would get lost or thrown away by mistake. You can imagine my delight to find a book that has not only the life-sized face and eye charts, rendered much better than I did, but places for notes where she can list all the items she used to produce each look.
