I am a novice at home nail enthusiast, & was pretty excited to be able to use this product but a bit nervous. I have been practicing more with polygel. Upon arriving it came packaged in a cute space themed box, the monomer was in bubble wrap along with the glass dish. The 3 acrylics were not wrapped up, but they had a seal on the inside. There was a little bit of a smell. Also came with forms that I did not try. There are no instructions, I wouldn’t expect there to be any, as these are already pretty advanced products that you should have prior knowledge of before using. I used the clear/white and it beaded pretty nicely, and applied smoothly. As long as I followed the right steps of dipping my brush in the monomer, slightly wiping it and then gently pressing into the acrylic to attain a bead- the application was nice. If I didn’t use enough monomer, the acrylic was a bit grainy, and if it used to much it was runny. Overall I really enjoyed using this product, it made me excited to try another set & use the glittery pink acrylic.

I would not say this kit from Major Dijit is for beginners. There is a lot to it, but the powder and monomer are hard to work with. I could not get the powder to become smooth, it kept a grit to it even with too much monomer added, and the monomer dries very quickly. You really need to be fast with shaping the acrylic before it sets. If you need time to get your nail shape correct, this is not the kit for you. I had to also really layer on some topcoat, because the powder never lost it's grit. The UV/LED lamp is just not worth it, it was so dim compared to my other table cure lamps, and didn't seem to want to cure the base or top coat very well. I ended up using another lamp. The nail drill is also cheap feeling, the switch already had loose connections and the drill has to be plugged in to work. It also seems to lack the torque and RPM's needed to work with the acrylic easily. I will stick with my other cordless drills for now. My fake nail trimmers came looking very misaligned, luckily the blade seems to cut straight on the fake nail, but it shatters/splinters them more than cuts them, so the blade is not very sharp. While it does come with a lot of nail gems, and extras, it doesn't come with glue to add them to nails, so you will need your own unless you are embedding them into a wet acrylic over layer. The brushes worked well, as did the dotting tools, and the sparkle powders were nice to try out. The nail prep pads do not list what makes them work, but I assume isopropyl alcohol. I have mixed feelings on this kit over all, I just had too many issues getting the acrylic to work for me.

This kit would be good for people trying to build up their collection. I would say that it would be good for beginners, but I also think this is a bit harder to work with compared to higher quality brands. I think this dries out a bit fast for a beginner who is learning to shape, they need something that is going to allow them to mold longer, because they aren't as efficient at getting the shape right. Beyond that, this is good kit. It has everything you need to experiment and play with your nails. Of course, follow proper protocols. Do not get this on your skin - if you do please wipe away immediately and never cure with product on the skin around the nails. Everything lasts well on the nails. Lots of tools and gems to have some fun and create awesome nails. Tools are easy to use - though they are not the highest quality they are still decent. Would recommend for someone wanting to venture into new nail designs.

This is a good beginner acrylic set it doesn't come with tips, but does come with forms if that's how your using. I use acrylic to adhere press ons I make as I'm not the best at sculpting yet amd this definitely helps them stay on a long time with good prep.

I wanted to like this kit and I wanted it to work so bad. It comes with everything you need except for a nail dehydrant. The powders, however, stay gritty in the monomer so they can't be spread over the nail. The file that comes in the kit is really nice.
