The chairs seem to be made well and the metal constructed of a thicker gauge metal; better than most hollow metal chair pieces found other products. First, the ugly: These barstools are a challenge to assemble. Putting the frame together is the easy part, so I suggest buyers start there, but attaching the seat to the back is not for the impatient. The good: The effort to assemble these barstools is rewarded by a stylish, sturdy, comfortable product. I searched a long time before I finally settled on these stools, and they have more than met my expectations. The best: The customer service is outstanding. One of the barstools was delivered with an incorrect part. The seller worked with me over Christmas Eve and Christmas to ascertain the problem and make sure I received the correct part within a week. We had taller chairs and didn't like bending over the counter to eat so purchased these as they were lower and padded. They are very comfortable, but we are still adjusting to sitting lower at the counter. They went together easily and are very sturdy. Would recommend them for sure.

These counter stools are beautiful but I had to purchase another set of stools because these were too short for my bar counter. Please check measurements of counter top before purchasing.
