The media could not be loaded. I didn’t read the reviews until after I purchased and i must say I was terrified . I wanted to send it back without even opening the box but my wife insisted that we keep it . & we’re not like the other people . Ours will be perfect . So we opened the box and to my surprise it came with every piece plus some ! All the hole lines up perfectly. The instruction book was very detailed. EVERYONE WHO SAID IT WAS F**#%d was wrong ! The only tools me and my wife used were a hammer and magnetic screwdriver and a cheap electric screwdriver (optional) . It was such a fun project ! I will order the chest as well . It’s great for the price. Assembly took forever cause you have to put together all the drawers so I suggest don’t do it by yourself. But besides that the dresser looks great, the drawers have plenty of room and it’s very sturdy.

So over all its pretty nice for the price. But it does have a cheap “made in china” kind of feel. The inside of the drawers have this tacky “wallpaper” that makes it look cheap (but once its assembled that doesn't really matter too much because you don’t see it until you open the drawers). I have a few main gripes with this product: 1: It was a PAIN to put together and takes hours. If you’re not good with assemblies/DIY, don't even bother! The manual is kind of confusing as well. 2: The product makes your whole room REEK of cheap pressboard. (EDIT: after a week or so that goes away so no big deal). 3: This one is the worst: I bought it to put a TV on, and there a sticker that you see during assembly that says: NEVER PUT A TV ON TOP OF THIS! Would've been nice to know before buying!!!!! Although it SEEMS sturdy enough to set one on top. Still VERY annoying. 4: The drawers don’t line up perfectly, and you have to play “drawer Tetris” for the best look. 5: Theres an UGLY sticker thats intended to be permanent that I removed. In the process, it ripped off some of the cheap “wallpaper”. Love how they force you to keep the eye-sore of a sticker on after you buy it. All complaints aside, it looks pretty nice and was cheap, so in my opinion it was worth it. ... show more

At first when you open it up, all the pieces and parts and the hundreds of screws and dozens of brackets may seem overwhelming. But once you get going, the instructions are VERY clear and detailed. For the amount of parts and screws, these instructions were probably the easiest to follow that my wife and I have come across. Assembly time between the both of us took 3.5 hours. Probably would have taken less if we had a power drill. At the end, we had a slight problem getting the drawers to go in correctly, but we eventually discovered you have to make sure the wheels of the drawer goes IN the groove of the brackets inside the dresser and and doesn't just sit on top. It's kind of an upwards downwards motion to get them in there. When you pull the drawer out, it should stop at a point. If it doesn't, it is not on the track correctly. I've seen some bad reviews with buyers having this problem and I really think it was just user error on their part. Lastly, it is very sturdy when you put your clothes in it that adds that extra weight. Doesn't move. Great product and would recommend it to anyone needing a new dresser. ... show more

There are a LOT of screws. If you’re using a screwdriver be sure to use work gloves or something because your hand will be sore before you even finish. I personally recommend a drill, just be careful not to strip anything. If you put this together correctly you’ll most likely be as satisfied as I am. That’s IF you put it together right. Follow the directions closely. And be sure to screw STRAIGHT. The particle board will buckle if you’re not aligned correctly. Also, when moving it, be careful. The locking nut type of fastening works but is not meant to have pressure put on places it isn’t built for. So don’t slide it or lean it. There’s a good chance it’ll crack. Keep it straight as possible until finished. If possible, have someone help lift it to avoid put pressure on the wrong spot. Finally, when screwing in the drawer slides, be sure to screw in even and flush. If the screws are just slightly protruding the drawers won’t slide properly. If you screw it in and the screw isn’t lined up with the hole properly, it will be uneven. Screw them in evenly and centered. I’ve seen some of the complaints and most of them appear like it was used error rather than product error. I had no problem putting it together. It looks great and I when I replace the handles with something sturdier (metal) it will look even better. ... show more

Unfortunately, the picture doesn’t quiet do this catastrophe justice. I followed the directions to an obsessive level. And yet! The dresser is still extremely unstable, I have tried to brace it and re-enforce it the best I can. The drawers split as I hammered in the plastic screw pieces for assembly. After the six hours I spent putting the thing together, the drawers don’t fit properly and there is a huge gap. I do not predict this dresser lasting more than a month, even with light use. I fear to put anything with substance in the drawers, so no jeans, and definitely no sweaters. Do not waste your time or money! ... show more

I am a 68 year old female and for the first time ever put together anything such as this. Instructions were well written. ALL pieces accounted for. Had Only one issue and that was connecting bottom piece to middle divider Everything else went very smooth. Did use drill to put in screws found that easier for me. dresser is very sturdy and well made. Drawers are lined and it looks very neat. Would recommend this item. Very fast delivery (but very very heavy for one person to pickup) if needed would buy this item or something similar to this again. Mainstay seems very good to deal with also seller ... show more
