Yes, I was smaller to begin with, as one reviewer said this product would be good on people who are smaller, and I agree. I cannot comment on how it would work on someone heavier than me, but if you are a girl that is smaller to begin with and just want to smooth everything out and get a more hourglass figure, then this is for you. I had been looking for something that I can put on under my dresses that wouldn't show clasp bulges (like a traditional corset would) and something I could go to the restroom in without any difficulties (so I didn't want Spanx). This product is kind of easy to get on. Be sure to put your legs through first and pull it on that way. Once on, it instantly trimmed down my waist at least a couple inches. It did smooth out my lower belly bulge as well. It didn't make me look perfect, but it definitely made a difference and made me feel more confident. It didn't make me have any fat rolls anywhere that I shouldn't. It actually felt like a second skin, not pushing where it shouldn't. It was pretty comfy to wear. I wouldn't want to wear it all day every day, but for a few hours here and there and for special occasions, it isn't entirely uncomfortable. The boning on the side didn't bother me, and I have a short torso. If you need something to smooth you out and you don't want clasp bulges or bathroom problems, then I would recommend this! I have seldom written a review in all these years of buying from Amazon. However, this product deserves my praises. Shapes wear is the least of my favorite to wear and shop. They either get too tight, that caused me stomach indigestion or they roll off which makes my outfit looks horrible, and most are difficult to put on and off. Well this product that I received today gave me a little cinch on my waistline and make the dresses I tried on looks very shapely on me. I bought this as an alternative to the expensive "belly band" that goes for more than 60 bucks. With that said I use it strictly postpartum, it does the job well, it compresses and I love that it's long enough, it goes from right under my breast to just below my pelvic bone. I bought a 2X, I'm usually an XL but I know with these kind of garments you have to order a size up. What I don't like about it is that it rolls all the way up to just under my breast and the fact that it has the boning which just hurts so I ended up taking out the side boning. This is definitely not a shaper, and if it wouldn't roll it would be an ok compressor garment but I'm happy with it for what I'm using it for. ... show more

I followed the sizing chart and ordered a Large and X Large just to be safe, after reading the reviews that these run small. After receiving the items, I didn't even try on the Large(what the sizing chart recommended for me). I tried on the X Large. This item is not exactly what I would call shapewear. It was so tight I could barely get it on. It also was extremely uncomfortable and seemed to make me look like I had more of a stomach than actually "conceal" the stomach bulge. The dress I was going to wear over this, actually looked better without this "shapewear" on underneath. This item seems to actually push any type of bulge you have into all of the wrong areas...extremely unflattering. I am returning both. Although I was hopeful that these are at an excellent price point, I will stick with my Spanx. Too uncomfortable to wear for even five minutes. Disappointing. ... show more

It fit well...at first. Since there isn't anything anchoring it in place (such as panties or straps) it ends up shifting either up or down. When I was wearing it, it even managed to bunch up a little, which was pretty surprising. Overall, it wasn't reliable enough to wear out in public. I have a few shapers, including a Spanx brand. This one is the best of them all. I'm 5'2", 135-140lbs, and most of my weight is in my thighs and butt. My waist isn't out of hand, but I prefer a smooth look when I wear fitted items, especially now since it's warm outside and most summer fabrics are thin and unforgiving. This is perfect for that. There are seams, but they're on the sides so they're not obvious. There's also a seam in the back, but it doesn't show at all under my clothes. This shaper actually gives me the hour-glass figure that I haven't seen in years. It doesn't glide up easily as it suggests; it takes a firm grip plus some tugging.
