I recently purchased the Magnifying Glass with Light, Swing Arm Desk Lamp with Clamp, and it's been a helpful addition to my workspace. The lighting is excellent and the clamp secures nicely to my desk. However, I did notice that the magnifying head seems to slightly struggle with staying in place. It's not a major issue, but a slight annoyance when working on intricate projects. This setup is perfect for painting by number where the numbers and details are very fine. My only issue is that the screw that holds the glass/light at the angle you need keeps loosening. I have to tighten it a couple times every work session (about an hour). I’m afraid the knob that tightens will break eventually. ... show more

Pretty happy with this purchase. For the price it's great. I make wargaming models and I don't think I could do so without this. The magnifying lens is a huge help. The arm mechanisms hold well. The hinge for the lens itself is a little weak, but with the position I have it in that doesn't matter. The led light itself is a little dimmer than I had hoped, so if it's you're only source of light you may want a secondary lamp. I think I may try to get a higher power USB charger at some point and see if that makes it brighter. ... show more

This product is good and magnification is sufficient enough when working with some electronic circuits. LED light is bright enough for my use.

Updated Review: 8 months of light usage and the light no longer works. The description says you’ll get 5,000 hours of LED light, well I’ve used about 10 hours. Where do I get the refund for the other 4,990? I’m definitely not an electrician but even I can tell it is an issue with the cord. At about 6 hours of use I started having to jiggle the cord a bit to get the light to work. It seems like the cord is getting pinched or bent inside the arm of the magnifier. You’d think this would be an anticipated weakness. The cord itself is rather flimsy and I can see how too much bending would cause the wires inside to break. I’m just really disappointed, I purchased this one for the light, without it the magnifier is useless. It has such a shadow that I can’t see what I’m holding under it. I bought a magnifying glass with light with a middle of the road price hoping to get a product that will last. Now I have to buy another one. I recommend looking elsewhere for a magnifying glass. Original Review: Overall I’m satisfied with this magnifying light. It clamped onto my two inch ledge with room to spare. The screw to tighten it is super smooth and easy to twist. The range of motion is excellent. Again it’s easy to move and stays where I put it. There are three joints, the upper two have screws so you can tighten them. The base swivels so you can swing it whichever way you want. The lights work well. I keep it on the brightest white setting to get the best illumination. As a bonus I think it’s anti-fogging, because let me tell you, I practically plant my nose on the glass when working. If I were to buy another one I’d go for the longer arm, but that’s on me. There are only two negatives. The glass itself seems to attract dust. I clean it every other day. I’m not creating dust, I use it for embroidery. Maybe they should sell it with a hood. And the magnification is not as great as it should be. I have to hold my work right under the glass and get really close to the top (as in the nose on the glass) to get the magnification effect. Next purchase I’m going to double the amount of magnification I need. But this is the real problem for me. The lights are in a ring around the glass. Protected by a frosted plastic ring. The ring just rests in there, it’s not attached. The issue is that it is placed exactly what you have to grab to position the glass. So my fingers push the plastic up every time. To avoid it you have to carefully pinch the edge. Or put your fingers on the glass. There really should be a handle on the head. I’m pretty sure I’m going to accidentally break that piece of plastic soon. It’s still a four star product. Exactly as described and pictured. Yes, I personally have issues with it. And I think there are a couple of design flaws, but those are just my opinion and don’t reflect on the product as advertised. ... show more

I bought one just to find it was the perfect lamp... So I bought a second one. Its lense is real glass and is very clear without distortions. With turning 49 I find my close eye sight to be failing me. With this lamp I can see things very clearly which helps greatly when doing my hobbies, writing, etc. I highly recommend this lamp to anyone thats looking for a dependable magnifying lamp. ... show more

After receiving the product it started to flicker after my 3rd usage. Then it stopped working eventually as the LED looked burnt out at one part of the lamp. Therefore, i did not het satisfaction from buying this product. What made it worse Amazon refuse to grant me a refund of this faulty item. I am not in the business of throwing away money.
