This is pretty cool. It’s a bit time consuming getting it centered just right into the base, but it does float as pictured. It spins constantly, so I don’t have a plant in it, but it’s unique.

I wanted to spice up the room a little bit and this was perfect. Got some floating shelves and although I had to put a small piece of cardboard to support the 3 foot design, this was perfect. I spun it a little and it hasn't stopped although the speed has slowed down which is expected. Setting it up is not hard at all but if you really don't have steady hands I guess this isn't for you. I'm putting a plant in the pot now so we'll see how it holds up. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Of the levitating lamps, globes, shoes, etc., this one has to be the coolest. It seems everything like this is now coming with a million colors of LED and remote controls, this little piece is a standout. The magic of it is that you have a living object inside of technology. OR a silk flower representing a live one. I couldn't wait to get a plant so I peeled off a few artificial pieces from a large display at work and got this setup in my office. It's quite a conversation piece. A couple of notes, floating the planter can be a tricky process. It took me a good 5 minutes to get it to float and then our office manager walked in and pulled the planter off. I got a big grin as I watched her try to figure out how to float it...she dropped it into place in about 5 seconds. 5 seconds or 5 minutes, be prepared for it to try your patience. The first group of flowers I put in the pot was a bit heavier one side. The result was that slowly the spin came to a stop, it was just too much for the magnetic field to push it past the unbalanced point. I redistributed the load and now it doesn't stop spinning. In order to get the full effect I'd recommend placing this up closer to eye level otherwise it's black on black and looking down at it you'd think it was spinning on a pedestal. On your desk works well for people sitting at it. Go for the bookshelf of wall shelf if most people stand in your office or home. You'll love this thing, it would make a great present. ... show more
