    • I really wanted to like this.
I recently purchased the OneXPlayer X1 Mini (32 gb RAM, 2 tb hard drive) as my new travel computer and purchased the above magnetic keyboard for as well. The concept is sound and I was used to this having had a Surface Pro in the past. The keyboard connects with a magnetic "crunch" like the Surface and I did not notice any significant lag in the keys. For me the actuation is a little short, but I could feel the difference between this and my mechanical keyboard. But given this a travel accessory, there will be some expected limitations. My main problem is the size and keyboard layout. For the former, I was a bit surprised as I have medium sized hands, but even so I felt cramped. The layout was also a problem because in order to save space, keys I would normal be able to hit without using a shift button such as "-" (a key I use quite often) is now a 2 step process (have a to hold a function key first) and is in a non-standard position. That by itself is not insurmountable, but this and the overall size of the keyboard make touch typing a great deal slower - at least for me. So overall it a paradoxically well built device that is super uncomfortable to use. And while I think this functions well as a cover for the screen (computer will go to sleep when closed), the main reason for its existence is typing for which I think you need much smaller hands for it to be of use.
