Received a few days ago. Dec 2023. Scan the QR code on the box, takes me to an app that doesn’t work with Alexa app. Check description on amazon and it matches the same bad information on the box. You must use the Magic Home app to work with Alexa NOT the Surplife app. Thank you to the other reviewer who mentioned this! Once I had the correct app, the light bulb was easy to set up and connect to Alexa but it was frustrating not having the correct information. Light has many many colors, warm, cool, and colorful. So the bulbs are great, don't get me wrong. Setup isn't so intuitive but once you set up one, you can do it over and over again no problem. The app is very responsive and provides plenty of customization to fit whatever vibe and mood you are trying to create. All and all I'm satisfied with the product. It's a great budget smart bulb that's a good alternative from the mainstream brands that will save you a couple bucks. BUT here's the problem. I purchased a 3 pack back in October 2020 to use in my studio room and nightstand and they all worked with no problems. After seeing how good they work, I decided to purchase another 3 pack for my living room lights. Upon receiving my second pack is when I ran into some issues. Opening my new pack I noticed the packaging was different from the first pack I purchased. The yellow lettered box is from the first pack and the green lettered box is from the second pack. The boxes are very similar and it looks like they just updated their packaging so no problems there. The bulbs themselves look exactly the same with no distinguishing marks to tell the two apart. Once I set up all the bulbs I noticed one of the bulbs is not as bright as the other three. I did use one bulb I had leftover from the first pack but that bulb is not the one that is dim. I contacted MagicLight the same day as writing this review so I am waiting for their response to see how this will be handled. Will update review once situation has been addressed. TL;DR: First pack I bought worked fine. Second pack had 1 bulb that was dimmer than the rest. Waiting to hear from customer service to address situation. Will update ASAP. *UPDATE*: Received email from support 2 days after sending email. They were kind enough to send a replacement bulb without hesitation. The first setup took longer than I was expecting and had to be redone on one of the bulbs. Once I figured it out they were great. Quick response with app. Bright white light to soft warm light. All of the colors. I was so happy I thought I would buy more. Setting up the timer was so easy. I was hoping having a light come on in the morning would help with my early wake ups. And it worked… for less than a week. I didn’t worry too much about it and thought I would look into when I had a second. Then I found that when I would come home a lunch to let my dogs out the lights would be on. After a few days of coming home to this (not consecutive days but randomly over a couple weeks) I just turned them off. I tried to figure out the issue but no luck. They won’t reconnect even after following all of the directions. I thought, no big deal, it will still work as a lightbulb. Nope. Wrong again. Apparently, if they are not connected they switch back and forth from cool light to warm light every minute. Would send them back but I’m just outside the return window. Convenient. So now I have two useless lightbulbs and my dogs are annoyed that the lights have been flashing and switching around for half an hour while they were trying to get to sleep. And now I get to listen to the incessant licking of a passive-aggressive English Setter. Great night. Don’t bother… just don’t. I guess on a positive note: they weren’t expensive. 1 of the 4 lights is already burned out. I installed 1 right away and 3 about a month after I bought them. I moved the first bulb to a different spot and now it won’t come on.

Wish I would’ve bought more since my old bulbs are different shades of “cool/warm” than these but none the less I love them. Just as easy to install & sync. Works easily with google home / nest. The colors are vibrant & very nice.
