Description

Having played the original Mafia game back in 2002, I was excited to see what Hangar 13 had in store for the Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4. Suffice it to say, I was not disappointed.     • A good game, but falls short as a 2020 Remake.
I played the original Mafia more than a decade ago, and it was enjoyable. This remake brings back nostalgia, under great graphics. Story, as good as it was, is tweaked a little and added a few more things here and there. Cars look gorgeous. Character models can't be better. Good job from the devs. However, as a remake especially in 2020, I don't think it's good enough. The gunplay, animation, and control are outdated. Most of the time I felt like I was playing Mafia 2 under the glorious graphics. Hell, I even beat the whole game on classic mode but it was lots of frustration and anger. I would say the game is worth it at $30 or less. I'm still grateful we got a remake after all, but the game needed more effort from Hangar 13. ... show more
