What I loved about this cooler was the different compartments. You don't have to just put everything into one space and wonder if things that don't need to be chilled will get too cold. You have a separate compartment to snacks and sandwiches and then the larger space is for the items to be iced. Zippered pockets on the side are great for keys, cash, IDs, etc. This is wonderful for long car rides if you don't want to stop and spend money on expensive meals. We live in La Paz Mexico and spend a great deal of time either at the beach or at the pool. It gets very hot here. Purchased this because our plastic igloo cooler was a pain to pack around. This cooler is amazing! We put one of our ice packs that fits perfectly on the bottom, then load it up! Will generally put 6 beers, 6 sodas and a couple bottles of water in main compartment. Then can put snacks and stuff in the lid compartment, our bluetooth speaker in the back pocket, cell phones and keys in the very top pocket on the lid. We have had this out in the direct mexico sun for HOURS and our drinks were still nice and cold. Great construction! The zippers are great and all stitching as well is great. This thing does it all, holds plenty of beverages and ice, has plenty of storage for everything else. And love the top compartment for keeping your sandwiches dry or cold and warm. Beats lugging around a bigger hard plastic type. Keeps things cold plenty long enough for me, this is not for a long weekend camping trip. But will get you by in most situations for sure.
