This is a very comfy rug and it washes well. However, the deep pile allows it to look "mussed" within a day or two of washing it. So if appearance (say, in your guest bath) is important to you, look for one with a shorter, tighter pile. But for comfort after a shower, you can't beat it. These are not very luxurious to me. Per the instructions I washed prior to using. These absorb a lot of water, which is great for when you are getting out of the shower, not so great when you’re washing them. They end up almost like a boulder in your washing machine and dryer. Be carefulnifnyiu have a front load washer, this can break your drum. They also shed a lot in the dryer. They took FOREVER to dry, and I had to empty the lint trap between each dry cyclE because of all the shedding. Like I mentioned above these definitely absorb water, but they also just lay flat, and don’t feel overly soft on my feet. I have these outside of our large tub, and our walk-in shower. I kneel on the larger of the two I’m getting my take a bath, I don’t feel very supportive. I also just don’t really like the feel of the mat on my bare skin. . ... show more

This rug is a thick rectangle of low-quality cotton. It has no backing of any sort, so it will slide on smooth or wet floors, and I would not recommend it for high-traffic areas. It does a reasonable job immediately in front of a sink or toilet, where people are likely to stand in place. On the plus side, it is very soft and comfortable, and it absorbs all the water you give it. On the negative side, the water does not evaporate quickly, and the rug is difficult to clean. It absorbs too much water to be washed in standard washing machines--even on heavy rugs-and-bedding cycles. ... show more

I love this set, and love how good it feels under my feet. These are very high quality and feel plush. Even with children in the tub they are very absorbent. I did notice they shed a lot in the dryer, but didn't seem to affect the rugs themselves as after drying as directed and adding tennis balls to the dryer to help keep them fluffy, they are as good as new after 5 washes now. They do tend to slide around. I simply set them on top of our old thin microfiber bath mat and problem solved. ... show more

The natural color looks cream in the photos (on both my iPad and iPhone) but it is definitely tan. I am actually glad I didn’t know that because I would not have ordered them and I’m so glad I did! These are the softest and cushiest bathroom rugs I’ve ever had! Very high quality. The backing has some light grip to it but not a ton. I think that will allow them to wash well. For the most part they stay in place, but do move a bit. Not enough to slip and fall so not a deal breaker. I wish they had a bigger size. And that they had cream like the photo. Overall I’m happy with these. I expect them to wash up great but if I have any issues I’ll update this review! Update after washing: I took another star off for the absolute mess they left in my washing machine. I had to run an empty load afterwards just to clean the machine. Big chunks of “fur” came off leaving it everywhere. After I gathered all the shedding from the basin, floor, and rugs, I had two big handfuls! I let them hang dry and shook them out to fluff and they are still falling apart. They are now in the trash. So these are really nice rugs that can never be washed:(. (I washed on cold gentle cycle and air dried on a drying rack). ... show more

The larger of the two rugs is larger than I was expecting, which is a good thing ..but I was originally planning on using that larger one in front of the shower stall door, and the other one either in front of the vanity or in front of the toilet .... But now, I just have the smaller of the two in front of the shower stall door (included a pic for size reference), which is literally the exact perfect size as it spans the exact width of the actual shower door plus about an inch on both sides... Which is precisely where the shower stall walls connect to the door at an angle.... (The shower stall is shaped like this: \__/ and the rug fits perfectly along the edge of the door which is the underscore in the diagram...it fits perfectly from corner to corner like I planned/measured for it...) It's a nice neutral color, which also matches the base of the shower stall... So it works. Better than I could have imagined or hoped for. The larger of the two, since I'm not using it in the bathroom, is actually at the landing of the basement stairs... Although that area didn't need a rug because it is technically carpet, there was a snag in the carpet that I just tossed the rug on top of. What I really like about these is that they can be used anywhere... The underside of the rugs is NOT the typical rubber you find on bathroom rugs (to help prevent slippage/sliding)...but instead an appropriate use of the same material that's on the top/walkable side of the rug... The tile in the bathroom is legit, slightly textured, tile and not linoleum so there's no problem with the rug sliding. ... show more

There was so much material left in my washing machine and it took 3 rounds in the dryer before they were completely dry and each time it filled up the lint trap.
