Absolutely love this product so far. I have this set up in a bird bath that is partly in the shade during the day, but also still gets sunlight. It works amazing when it gets full sun, so if you have one in full sun it work a lot better, but I am very happy with how it works even for me with some shade, even though it just does spurts in the shade. It definitely works well. When it is in full shade, it doesn't work, but I don't expect it to, it really needs the sun to work consistently. I would buy this again anytime! ... show more

I have got this a few times now I have one in my bird bath and one in my swimming pool they work really well but they only last about a year due to constant water flow but it is definitely worth it for the price

    • Stopped working after a month
This was a nice fountain for about a month. I loved its versatility with the variety of spouts. It was easy to set up and was ready to go within minutes. I also liked that it shut itself down when there was no sun except the fact on cloudy days it also shut itself down. I wish it worked on cloudy days and shut down at night when it’s actually dark. After about a month of use it stopped working. I cleaned it changed the filter washed things out and it still isn’t working. So I won’t be purchasing it again. ... show more

    • If you do these 3 things it works like a charm!
After doing research, 1) I made sure to have a deep enough bird bath. 2) Made sure to use the plastic sticks to keep it centered, so it wouldn't move over to the edge and splash out all the water out of the bird bath. 3) I'm making sure to clean out the water at least every other day to keep it clean of debris. That said, the birds love it and are playing in it. Also, I read so many reviews saying it won't work unless it's in full 100% sunshine. So it *does* gurgle and burble a bit in dapple shade and overcast days. It's not at the same as when it's in full sun and going great, but it's still a little something and even the burples of water still attract birds. My front porch seems so cozy now with the little fountain in the birdbath. Can't wait to see how many birds it attracts, and if I'll see some hummingbirds too. So glad not to have batteries to deal with, or electric cords, etc. Definitely more action than before with just the regular bird bath. ... show more

Nice little solar fountain! Easy to assemble, has a lot of different spout options, and actually has some solid power behind it when in full sun. That being said - as advertised - it does NOT work (at all) when not in sun. You can see in this video that even when I stand in front of it, casting a shadow, it stops working. Sometimes if it’s in partial shade it’ll give little spurts here and there but otherwise doesn’t work at all. I do wish it had some kind of battery life/storage to keep it working for a bit after the sun goes away. Worth the price though in my opinion! ... show more
