My device and charging dock are nearly 4 years old as of December. About a week ago, my old dock began to make a godawful static sound and started cutting the power to my portable phone. This is a sign the electromagnet is malfunctioning. I was amazed I got this for $30 on sale. I prefer charging on the dock because the cable and plug that come with Fires do not fit exactly right and it charges so slowly. The charging dock is much faster and more reliable.

At it's regular price I'd say it's way over-priced. Even on sale it seems somewhat over-priced. But it's convenient and does what it's supposed to do. The Fire tablet stays very slightly warm, but not enough to worry me.

Excellent product. Power supply connection has been improved and is a tight fit that does not "fall" out. Charges faster than the 3 hours stated. Charges with the Amazon cover left on. Very practical.

It works well, and was what I was expecting size-wise. It does exactly what it advertises and it does it well. Just remember that only the HD 8 plus is compatible with wireless charging. I'm giving it a 4-star review because I'm not really impressed by it's price, and by its incompatibility with the tablet in a case. Pros: Can wirelessly charge both my phone and tablet (not at the same time though) Can wirelessly charge in both landscape and upright positions Is at a great angle to let my tablet work as a small TV for my craft room Does not distort sound Cons: Makes getting out of show-mode a pain. The tablet comes with pre-set settings that allows the tablet to act as an echo show when in landscape. This would be cool, except for it limits the capability of the tablet until you press a button. This is also a con of the tablet itself, but it is exacerbated by this dock. (luckily this feature can be disabled) The price isn't really worth it for the item either. I can't charge multiple items at once so I don't see myself using this dock for anything but the tablet. Finally, I bought a case for this tablet which is incompatible with this wireless charger. I have a feeling many cases will be the same so be careful when choosing!

This is so convenient to use. I just love it. No more finding the charging connection on the tablet as it seems to get loose over time. Better method all the way around.

Works as stated. Does not work with most cases. We have to take Kindle out of the case to charge, but still does the job. It is more convenient to charge than plug in cable.

Doesn't just charge my new kindle. I didn't know my phone would charge this way. Plopped my phone up there and it charges that as well. The plug area is shot in my previous kindle and I ordered this item with a new one.
