We've had this tablet for about 2 years and its survived our 2 young kids, multiple road trips and flights and its still going strong. I'm just now writing this review because I'm still in disbelief at what they can withstand. I thought my daughter lost her tablet since I haven't been able to find it for about a week, well we just found it outside on her playground. We've been having rain as well as 90°+ weather and when she handed it to me water poured out of it so I immediately thought this thing was toast. To my shock, I plugged it in and it started charging and came back on, it works just fine. So yea, just buy it because they're basically indestructible.

I got this tablet for my 3-year-old daughter, and it has been one of the best purchases I’ve made for her. The 10.1” HD screen is bright and clear, and she absolutely loves watching her shows and playing educational games on it. It’s super responsive, and I’ve noticed it’s much faster than previous versions we’ve used. The kid-proof case is a lifesaver — she’s already dropped it a few times and it’s held up perfectly. The built-in stand is really convenient too when she wants to watch something hands-free. And the 13-hour battery easily lasts her all day, even with heavy use. From a parent’s perspective, the parental controls are excellent. I can set limits, monitor activity, and choose what content she can access. Set up was super easy, there were a couple updates during set up which took some time but the tablet functions great and has lots of instructions so it’s easy to use. My favorite is the parental control app I have on my phone which gives me peace of mind when my kids are using the tablet. The size is bigger than what I was expecting but looking back I ordered the 10” screen rather than the 7”

My 5 year old loves it. The padded outer cover is great for young kids who are rough on things. I am also happy YouTube.com is an app that can be downloaded on this device (I was told YouTube can’t be used on these fire tablets, which is wrong).
