He recently messed up the sound on his fire 8 HD and it just broke his little heart. I debated getting a smaller tablet, but decided to go ahead and do it (he mainly watches on the fire 10 hd). At first I was a little worried because it seemed so small compared to the 10 and even the 8. However, he loves it! It connects to WiFi without issue and it's a great size if you're into reading. The Amazon Fire 7 tablet os light and fast and, best of all, can last about 11 hours before needing to charge! It's the perfect size for reading and for taking on outings. The tablet I received looked just as good as the brand new ones, no scratches, dents, etc. I highly recommend.

I’m very pleased with this purchase! I replaced my grandson’s older Fire tablet with this one, and it was a great decision. The screen size is perfect for his little hands, and it’s easy to use. The touch screen is very responsive—almost too much at times, since he nearly reset it by accident—but overall it works beautifully. The battery life is decent for everyday use; if streaming movies, I recommend keeping it plugged in. The tablet is lightweight, and with the cute red case I bought (with a handle), it’s easy for him to carry around. Great quality at a great price!

I got this tablet to keep my kids occupied in the car while traveling long distances. Set it up with Amazon kids and they have loved it so far. Battery lasts for like a week with light to moderate use. Good value!

Touch and go with the setup. While it was advertised with 16 GB of storage it really has 10.68 GB. I inserted a 128 GB sdcard but for some reason the card made this unit unusable. It continuously rebooted. After I removed the card it works perfectly. I have ordered another 32GB card to.see if that works better. I will like it after I get all the kinks out. Update: As I said before, I ordered a 32 GB SD card made for Fire Tablets and it works perfectly now. Cool little unit.

The Fire 7 tablet is okay, but you need to understand its limits before buying. The size is very small — 7 inches feels cramped, especially for reading, browsing, or watching videos. Performance is acceptable for basic use, but it is not very smooth and can feel slow at times. The biggest limitation is the operating system. This is not standard Android; it uses Amazon’s own OS, which means the app selection is very limited. Many common apps are missing or require workarounds. Because of this, it’s not ideal if you expect full Android functionality. Overall, it can be a decent gift for light use or for someone who only needs basic features, but it’s not a powerful or flexible tablet. If you want more apps and better performance, this is probably not the right choice.

The listing says nothing about it being loaded with ads. Even when I got customer service to remove the ads it still had ads on the lock screen. It also is very locked down, you cannot even make a custom home screen you need to use theirs which has "recommendations" all over it. aka more ads. A shame as the size and price were pretty good and the actual specs not that bad either. its not really a tablet but a marketing ad filled piece of amazon propaganda.
