  • Good value, easy to use, just be quick because it dries fast!!
Style: Mix & Mold
Good value since you can make more than one! Just be quick, as this stuff hardens very quick in cooler air. It's a great product for creative kids or creative people in general. I'd love to see larger molds and maybe some tint options for the plaster mix, but I'm very happy with what I got. It does include paints to use as well. ... show more

  • Fun activities
Style: Mix & Mold
We bought twice! Super easy to use but watch the timing because once you look away it’s like it dries instantly. Once it’s dry they’re so smooth and hold paint really well! Ours were gifted and used in a garden and still holding up two years later

  • I don't care what it says, use HOT water.
Style: Mix & Mold
Our family dog was diagnosed with cancer and we were told she only had a couple of months. The kids wanted to do pawprints so they'd have something to remember her by. I looked at a zillion handprint. pawprint, and stepping stone kits and settled on this one largely because it was inexpensive and you could make four stepping stones with it. I'm not sharing photos of the finished pieces because they've got names on them, but they did come out really well. Once I got the hang of it, the kit was really really sweet and easy to use. However, there are a few things I want to note for those considering purchasing the set. -You get ONE mold and your stone needs to sit for eight hours to dry or you may break it while you remove it. If you're hoping to use this kit with several children at once, it is not going to happen. -Accessories, including the plastic gemstones, are in short supply. You may want to purchase extra if you're splitting the kit among several children. -The directions say you should not use hot water or it will not set. Hot water from the tap is the only way I was able to get enough working time to capture the paw print. -I used a silicone bowl and spatula for easy cleanup. I just left it to dry and then bent it and the residue fell off. The first time we ran through it, I used cold water from the tap and spend about a minute tapping the base to get the bubbles out. The stone was set before I tried to capture the pawprint. I left it to dry because the image came out well and figured the kids would still want to decorate that one. I used a Tupperware container to do the second one, but pretty much skipped tapping out the bubbles. It also set before I could capture a pawprint. I left the first two to dry overnight and removed the hard stones in the morning. They were good, but of course, no pawprints. That in mind, I repeated the process, but used hot water from the tap even though the instructions told me not to. I got a perfect pawprint both times and both stones cured perfectly. I removed one star because of the issues I had with the stone setting quickly when following directions. However, now knowing what I know, I would purchase this set again without hesitation. ... show more

  • OK, but has to be done with an adult
This is cute, but the gems don't stay and it is hard to make and put together. The kids had fun making them, but it is not easy and you definately need an adult to do most of the work. This colors look very strange, they are a nice size but fragile, again small children will break it. The plaster is quite messy, again an adult needs to be doing most of it but it makes a great gift, for parents that want to do a project with the kids. ... show more

  • Disappointing
Style: Mix & Mold
I was so excited to try this with the two kiddos I nanny for but sadly, it was such a disappointment. It comes with 4 packages of plaster but only one mold? Useless unless you only have one child making the craft, and forget doing one yourself. I had to purchase plastic plant holders since it was the only disposable thing I could find with the right size so that we could all do it together. They also only have 10 gems & 10 small colored ceramic tile pieces so we had to get additional supplies to make sure there was enough for everyone to be happy. After following the directions as it said, one came out perfect.. yet dried in minutes. So the poor 4 year old was pretty upset that he had to glue on half of his decorations. The second one was a clumpy disaster that was not mixable. The 3rd try we used warmer water, which seemed to do the trick but it was so goopy that anything we put inside just started sinking. Save yourself the time, energy & headache, just get premixed grout at Michaels for $9 with whatever decor you need. I dont recommend this craft. ... show more

  • Fun and Creative DIY Kit!
Style: Mix & Mold
The Made By Me Mix & Mold Stepping Stones kit is fantastic for a fun, hands-on craft project. It comes with everything you need to make four personalized 7-inch stepping stones, including molds, ceramic paints, tiles, and assorted gems. My kids loved designing their own creations, and the 3D mold made it easy to get nice shapes every time. The paints are vibrant and adhere well to the tiles, and the gems add a really cute, sparkly touch. The instructions are clear, making it simple for both kids and adults to follow. After finishing, the stepping stones looked professional and colorful in our garden. This kit provides hours of creative fun and a lasting keepsake you can proudly display. Highly recommend for families or craft enthusiasts! ... show more

  • Messy and difficult to use
Style: Mix & Mold
This product comes with 4 packs of powder that you basically mix with water to make concrete. However, it comes with only one mold. And hardly any gemstones and decorations. Why you ask? Because it takes 4 times of rock hard cement before you make one successful stone. Not to mention the instructions tell you to mix this in a disposable bowl (which btw is not included) and there’s more powder than will fit in any disposable bowl I had lying around. So naturally I used a large mixing bowl. Well, once it hardened unexpectedly to rock, while mixing, the concrete mixture was impossible to get out of the bowl, and it ended up breaking it, trying to remove it. It comes with one stir stick, which obviously also gets turned to cement and makes it very difficult to use as a star stick for the subsequent three molds. I think I’d rather just go to Home Depot and buy a quick pour concrete tbh. This was a total disaster and total mess. ... show more
