I'm fortunate to have a vehicle that doesn't allow me to lock my keys inside, but my wife is not that lucky. Her Chevy Sonic has an annoying quirk that we've never been able to disable. It tends to lock its doors without warning when you get out of the car and if we're not careful, the keys get locked inside. It's happened several times already and we've been lucky it has never happened away from home. So that's where this kit comes in. It has all the tools we could need. I've also had coworkers lock their keys in their cars and I've been unable to help them in the past but now I feel confident I will be able to help if the need arises. Several tools are made of plastic, which is fine to avoid scratches, but they might eventually break. The kit is a good value for what you get. There's several videos online to see how to use this and other similar kits. Recommended.

Worst kit in the world. The stick broke on me on my first lockout. And while I was even trying to attempt to open the door, the stick kept a loosen on me. Will never recommend this kit to anyone.

Stainless steel repair tools... right! Needless to say, this is a tool set that locksmiths use to gain access to vehicles when you lock yourself out. You can check out my short video review so that you can see what all is included in this kit. It includes everything necessary to be able to unlock your vehicle. In the event of an emergency. You do have to have knowledge of the tools that this kit provides. In order to properly use them. This kit does not include any instructions. Whatsoever, so I recommend you go on youtube and do some research. I have used older versions of this kit before with a lot of success. It has definitely saved me money and time. Instead of having to call a locksmith to come unlock.My vehicle. The tools included in the skit seam of average quality Comparing to other similar tools i've used before.These should be able to get the job done.

This set will be great in a pinch! It comes with 2 extra extension pieces which make it plenty long (I only had to use 1 in my testing) and it is also sturdy, making it able to push down on buttons or pull on handles to unlock doors. The bags inflated fine but, they look to only be glued together, which raises some durability concerns. I tested the kit in my drive way on my truck. I used 1 extension piece and 2 rod connecting nuts. I slipped the red pry bar into the side of my driver side door and the small air wedge right above it and inflated the wedge until I created a small gap. Next, I removed the red pry bar and slipped it in at the top of the door, and inserted the bigger air wedge next to it. I then started to inflate the bags, little by little, until I was able insert the rod and move it freely inside the gap I created. This was my first time using a kit like this and was surprised at how easy it was to use. It took me a total of around 3 minutes, start to finish. Once I made a gap big enough to move the rod around freely, it took me only 5 seconds to position the end over the unlock button. A couple tips: -I would invest in a paint protector to avoid scratches on the vehicle while moving the rod around. I made a couple scratches on my truck with the connecting nuts -Have a small set of pliers on hand to help with disconnecting the rod pieces. The included wrenches work to help break the rod pieces loose but, the connecting nuts sometime get stuck to the ends. -Take your time inflating the wedges to avoid warping the door and/or overflexing the glass. Like I mentioned, I inflated bit by bit, just until I had enough space to work the rod around. This kit has already earned some space in my truck. The only knock I have for it are due to the air wedges, they just don't look quality made.

As a first responder, I deal with vehicle lockouts on a regular basis, everything from elderly folks who’ve locked their keys inside to those heart-stopping situations involving kids in the car. I’ve used a lot of different entry kits over the years, so I’m always on the lookout for something well thought out and practical. This kit absolutely earns its spot in my truck. The setup is straightforward and effective. The stainless steel tools feel solid, the rods are sturdy, and the extension pieces give you plenty of reach. In testing it on my own truck, I had the door open and the vehicle unlocked in about three minutes start to finish, and once I had space to work, it took all of five seconds to hit the unlock button. Not bad for a first run, and definitely fast enough for real-world emergencies. The air wedges inflate easily and do their job creating a workable gap. Just Inflate them slowly and carefully and you’ll be just fine, no need to Hulk out and bend a door frame. One small wish list item: flexible rods. The straight rod included works, but there are times when a flexible option would make life much easier, especially when you can’t open the door very far. Add one of those to your arsenal and this becomes a true all-in-one solution. A few pro tips from the field: Use a paint protector unless you enjoy explaining new scratches Keep pliers handy for stubborn connector nuts Inflate the wedges gradually, slow and steady wins the unlocked door battle. Everything packs neatly into the included carry bag, making it easy to grab and go. Despite a couple minor critiques, this kit delivers serious value for the price and performs when it matters most. It’s already earned permanent real estate in my vehicle, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable lockout solution, especially in emergency situations.
