Description

As you can see, Velvet Teddy looks very creamy when it’s swatched. That’s a great plus in my opinion: most lipsticks with a matte finish like this one are drying on the lips. MAC Velvet Teddy is probably one of the most hydrating matte lipsticks I’ve tried. It also doesn’t accentuate any dry patches on your lips, but I still recommend scrubbing your lips before applying any lippy on them! The colour of MAC Velvet Teddy is very unique in my opinion. It’s a light brown colour with a slight red undertone to it.

I like this lipstick a lot. It's a pink-brown and looks good on me. it's all purpose meaning it can go day or night. It's long-lasting and keeps my lips hydrated. I can't wait to buy more MAC shades!

Firstly, I must admit that YouTube and other "must buy" references pressured me to buy this Velvet Teddy shade. I am a beige- caramel type of skin tone and although the color was a beautiful nude, I still think it is a little too light for me. My first impression was: It's chalky. Second impression: It gets better after a few swipes. Third impression: I could probably rock it. I also must admit, this is my first MAC lipstick. I had higher expectations for the brand than what I received. I'm a bit prone to lip lines so I guess I assumed Mac would lessen the appearance of them but it didn't. Overall it's a beautiful shade. The color is exactly as it appears. It lasts pretty long, even after eating and drinking the color kind of remains there almost like a lip stain but without the dryness that some have. It seems to work for various skin tones- me, my sister, and my mother are all different shades of Hispanics and it looked equally awesome on all of us. I now understand why everyone raves about MAC lipsticks. Goes on smoothly, smells wonderful and color stays true. It is a bit darker than the pic shows on my screen. I would call it a darker brown tone nude.... would prefer a touch of pink and a bit lighter but still love it.
