Bought this item to replace the canvas unit I had before. This is so much sturdier, takes up less space because it doesn't baulk under the weight of laundry, and looks cuter. The lids do feel flimsy, but they've held up so far, and even if they break it's not a dealbreaker for me. I paired this with some cotton liners so I can easily keep the unit clean. You have to take the lid entirely off to put in and take out the liners, but it's a small inconvenience compared to those posed by a canvas hamper. I loved the color and quality of this laundry basket it’s definitely worth the money in my opinion. It makes doing the laundry so much easier and it’s so convenient. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is willing to spend the money. The only thing you should know is that I think it’s meant for one person only, the baskets are not big enough to hold a large amounts of clothing. I read the reviews specifically to see if anyone used this for trash, and after reading a couple of positive reviews, done deal. It arrived today and I was audibly excited (the things they don’t tell you about being an adult). This is PERFECT for what I wanted, a compact way to sort trash from recycling with a lid for both. I was able to put two separate liners in each colored bin, snap the lid back on and it’s lovely and takes up less space than I planned, which is great in a studio. We use this sturdy double laundry holder to sort dirty lights and darks. It holds several loads and prevents us from having to throw laundry on the floor to sort. I thought it seemed pricey but it has proven to be worth it.
