    • Great set for a reasonable price.
I was interested in both of these impacts individually, it just so happens that it was less expensive to buy them in this kit than individually. The light was just an added benefit. The 3/8" impact is the one I use more frequently. This impact is relatively compact yet it has a very rapid hammer action that sounds similar to a hammer drill. It also has an LED light that is helpful to ensuring that you are on the fastener. I use it to remove medium grade fasteners but I wouldn't recommend installing them with it due to it's strength. It is strong and fast enough that I can quickly run down lugnuts on a passenger car before using a torque wrench to finish tightening them. The 1/2" impact is very strong and hammers much slower than the smaller impact but has no problems removing most fasteners on an average sized vehicle. It is a little nose heavy due to its sturdy hammer mechanism but it is not unbearable. I am also very pleased with the battery run time and the convenience of the "charge meter" on each battery. Something to be aware of with the charger is that it appears to be designed to be mounted vertically. It will charge in the horizontal position but at times I found mine having a difficult time getting a solid connection to get a charge. The light is probably the only thing I would want to improve on in this kit. It uses a bulb and is reasonably bright but the light that is put out leaves a dark spot in the center of the lit area that is a little annoying at times. It uses the battery quicker than the other two tools and is noticeably dimmer than my M12 LED light which I would highly recommend. ... show more

I have had three other impacts ... all Craftsman brand (1 3/8 19.2 volt, 1 3/8 Professional 20V, and 1 1/2 19.2 volt) and not one of them help up to just the 3/8 impact in this kit!! I work on large diesel engines for a living (not going to find these in a truck) and the 1/2 impact can remove the head bolts that typically only my 3/4" air gun can remove. Now be realistic, it's not going to do all 96 bolts for all the heads on 1 battery, but if you need to pull a head on most any engine this 1/2 is a beast and should do the job just fine!! I have also used the 3/8 impact gun to pull tires/lugnuts off of my truck. The light is kind of cheap, and not an LED ... its basically a gimme in the kit. BUY IT! There is no better kit especially for the price, not even the Dewalt which is still a pretty awesome kit. ... show more

    • Best Cordless Impact Period!
Bought these for my company's shop. We were using DeWalt cordless impacts, but the sockets would keep falling off and flying off which is dangerous and frustrating when you are trying to get something done. The Milwaukee's hold the sockets very snug and tight. They have more than enough torque to handle any job we have throw at them. You can feel the quality in them as soon as you pick them up. Very solidly built and feel very ergonomic in your hand. The 3/8 already took a 10ft fall off a tank onto our concrete floor, and kept on ticking, no damage what so ever. Was a bonus that they sold both impacts in this set. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who needs a dependable cordless impact. Having used both the DeWalt and Milwaukee impacts I would have to say the Milwaukee is by far the superior product! ... show more

Alright, I figured that this was a lifetime purchase for me. I am just a "shade tree mechanic", an so in the last 2 years that I owned this, it has only seen about 4 projects. Well, the big one failed (cat.no.2663-20). This is weird in that it should be the strongest, and it is the one I used the least as the little one is strong enough for nearly everything. Something went wrong, and the cooling fins all broke off and fell out. I have not taken it apart to be sure, but I figure the rear bearing failed, moving the shaft out of alignment enough to run the fins into something else. I stopped using it, and I shook the loose bits out (only fins came out), and something is still shaking around inside. What cheeses me off the most is that this product only has a 1 year warranty. I would have gotten an additional 2 years if I had registered the product within 30 days... so I guess I own part of that. I guess that I expected more like a 3 year warranty at least for this level of product, and maybe 5-10 years if Milwaukee thinks this product is supposed to be Professional grade. I still cant go to a 1 star review as this did do well, but for too short of a time. The torque is amazing! (be sure to to push the tool toward the nut/bolt as that stops the hammering action). ... show more

I received the bag only and none of the tools. This is a separate warehouse from Amazon so they could complete the order. This is not the great deal it looks like. It's just a RIP off!

great power. I used it to loosen truck lugs, ball joint nuts, tie rod end bolts with no problems. The only minus was that the large impact doesn't have a LED light like the smaller one, but not a big deal.

To start, I am very disappointed in the quality control here. When I got the package I could tell the box had been taped back up. When I opened it, the tools we're already ripped out of their plastic bags. The 1/2" impact and one battery had clearly been used quite a bit and then returned. Also the 1/2" has a terrible noise and stink to the motor. The 3/8" impact seems to be un-used or close to it and the same goes for the light. For the price I paid I would really like new tools instead of used tools that have been abused. 2 stars because it all still works at least. ... show more
