  • Good router for the money.
Style: Router
Well made tool. Easy to adjust, hold and operate. With the variable speed this router can do just about everything you need when a stand alone router is the tool for the job. Haven’t been as impressed by some other Milwaukee power tools but this one is worth buying.

  • Great compact router
Style: Router
Full disclosure I have only used this tool 1 time to trim laminate on a desk top I made. It worked superb. It has a high quality "feel" in my hands. Switches and knobs feel legit. Has a good weight feel to it. Not heavy by any means but feels stout. I kicked its phasers to stun and it walked through a thick Formica laminate like nothing. ... show more

  • Great tool!
Style: Router
The media could not be loaded. So this is a repeat purchase for me I wanted a 3rd one so I could put round overs on stuff for work without changing the bit constantly. I use them all every day! It functions great for me. This was a super great deal for a bare tool. It’s super easy to use and fits my hand way better then some of the other manufactures products. I do find it accurate and consistent but I would like it if the up and down threaded rod was some other material then plastic. And the small acrylic head that comes with it has a notch in it that I find makes it dip into my material easier then I think it should so as you can see in the pics I built my own bases without that notch! I have changed out the factory one since I took this pic. They are great and these are just 2 small complaints. But I would buy a 4th one in a heart beat they are tough and get a lot of use in our shop! ... show more

  • Router
Style: Router
Using a router without a chord is a game changer. I use strictly Milwaukee tools for the convenience of same battery set up. Never disappointed. The height depth adjustment location for depth is a nice touch , but if you’re not careful you can easily adjust it while operating. Keep fingers away.

  • Good vendor, great router
Style: Router
Start off with praise to the vendor. I bought one of these a couple months ago for a small project that I didn't want to have to use my big router for, and it worked great until it stopped working mid cut. I was able to turn it enough by hand to make it work again, but I think a propeller or something broke inside the motor housing and it makes an atrocious noise. Seller was quick and easy to talk to about processing a warranty or refund. Ended up getting another one. I'll keep the somewhat broken one for maybe less than ideal situations (outside/rain?) and use the new one for everything else. To the router itself, this thing is impressive. Good power out of a battery, and surprisingly good battery life. I cut probably 100 linear feet of 3/8" rabets and only dropped to half charge. Smooth cuts, and the option of which base plate to use is pretty nice depending on what your materials are. The vacuum port is... mostly functional. It does a pretty good job catching most of the dust from the top side, but there's always dust getting shot out from under the bit. Not much to do there. Definitely use the vacuum attachment. The biggest issue I ran into with the vac hose on it was the router became difficult to maneuver with the hose in place, as the hose would get caught on things or make the weight be off balance. Not a deal breaker, especially for a compact handheld router. I'll just get a more flexible hose and put it over my shoulder when I cut in the future. The next issue I have with the router is it's just really fat. I've got relatively big hands, 6' tall dude here, and the body of the router is just a bit too big to comfortably hold for more than a minute at a time. Routing lots and lots of small pieces or large pieces led to fatigue in my hand from trying to grip it with such a wide grip. This is one area that Makita really nailed with their compact router, it's actually compact. All in all it's a great router, and the seller is solid. ... show more

  • Milwaukee has done something wonderful again!
Style: Router
I hate routers! Wellll not this one. This router has made me rethink it all. Its very easy to control and has plenty of power. No cords along with fitting in the hands nicely. Makes it my go to and more of a joy to use than a cumbersome mess hogging through wood destroying almost everything beautiful you use it on. Milwaukee seems to get it right more often than not. Buy it! You won't regret it. ... show more

  • Professional power in a cordless package
Style: Router
After using it for several furniture projects and custom plaques, I can confidently say it gives my corded routers a run for their money. Power and Performance Despite being a compact unit, the brushless motor handles hardwoods like oak and walnut without bogging down. I've used it for everything from simple round-overs to deeper dado cuts, and the variable speed dial (10,000 - 31,000 RPM) is smooth and stays consistent under load. Depth Adjustments and Precision The micro-adjustment screw is the standout feature here. It allows for incredibly precise depth changes, which is vital when you're trying to get a perfect flush trim or working on detailed inlay work. The macro-adjust button is also sturdy and doesn't feel "mushy" like some other cordless models I've tried. Dust Collection (The Real Game Changer) If you're like me and hate the mess routers make, you'll appreciate the included dust shroud. I’ve found that when hooked up to a vacuum, it catches a significant amount of the debris. Note: Depending on your vacuum setup, you might need an adapter to bridge the gap between the shroud and your hose, but once it’s dialed in, it keeps the workspace remarkably clean for a handheld tool. Ergonomics It’s well-balanced, even with a larger 5.0Ah battery attached. The dual LED lights provide excellent visibility on the bit, which is crucial for following a line accurately. Final Verdict If you are already on the Milwaukee battery platform, this is a no-brainer. It saves the hassle of dragging a cord across a project and doesn't sacrifice the torque you need for serious woodworking. ... show more
