Hi all, media composer here. I’ve used MIDI CC faders for years, and I’ve always felt the market lacked an affordable, high-quality option. If I could go back in time, I’d start with this set. The build quality is impressive, the onboard programming is a huge plus, and the faders have just the right resistance. I also love how you can switch between user presets for different MIDI CC values without needing to go online—such a time-saver. One unexpected but welcome feature is the color-changing lights that indicate MIDI intensity. I didn’t think I’d care about this, but now I can’t stop visualizing sound in color. It’s already influencing my workflow in ways I never anticipated. If you’re debating whether to get the four-fader unit, I highly recommend it. Using faders feels almost like conducting—far more expressive than knobs, in my opinion. (I was considering the two-fader unit with knobs, and if you are too, trust me—get this one.) I’ve been searching for a professional MIDI CC Controller with 100mm faders for quite some time. While I came across a few handmade options online, they were priced exorbitantly in the $300-$400 range for what amounted to a simple box with four faders. Then I stumbled upon the M-Brio on Amazon. At first, I was skeptical—it had no reviews (???) and no video demos on YouTube at the time. But the design looked sleek, the price was fair, and the fact that it’s made in California tipped the scales for me to take a chance. And wow—am I glad I did! This unit blew me away. The faders are smooth, quiet, and offer just the right amount of resistance, making the 4Fade feel more like a true instrument, especially when recording strings or orchestral sounds.
