For the price this is a very good product and plenty bright but... there is a big but. It really only works for a 55" TV exactly. I bought the 55 to 24 option and they say you can cut the LED to fit. (Which you can and it's very easy). But the HDMI sync box isn't smart enough to know that you've cut the length. So the lights don't quite match the image of the TV. You have to have exactly a 55" TV or 75" (if you buy the big version). If you have to cut it will be off. When the screen is full of color you don't notice as much and it's still okay but because of this it's disappointing and I can't give 5 stars

I typed a huge paragraph, then my laptop setup deleted everything, now I start over :p This is an awesome product. I will preface by saying I am a home cinema buff, purchased a non-HD projector, purchased a $1k 27" lcd tv, love surround sound, yada yada...but I am no "phile", so I don't scrutinize the best of the best, just a weekender, I guess. Needless to say, the Lytmi TV LED Backlight is allowing us to enjoy our current 55" 4k tv and putting on the backburner, the need to upgrade to 85+ tvs. Installation was easy enough and you get all that is needed. Previously I had no clue how such strips worked, now I understand what is involved. You get a box that you plug in your intended hdmi source. The box intercepts and translates what is needed. I had to trim about 20" from the strip. I was enjoying a handful of modern movies and just appreciated this led strip so much (TF: ROTB, the Flash, Black Adam, 65, etc.). It was a great experience. The device does present a delay in OFF mode due to us using Amazon Fire stick, turns on normally, then has to wait to fully power off due to the Amazon device's sleep/off mode.

Their website in the FAQs as well as the included manual that the device support Dolby Vision passthrough but it doesn't. I have a TLC 5-series TV (2023) and a Nvidia Shield Pro. When I connect my Shield Pro to the Lytmi, HDR and Dolby Vision are no longer an option at 4K, only 1080p. The other issue is that if you scale down to 1080p any HDR and Dolby Vision produces a muted colors from the LEDs, red comes out looking more orange, blue is an cyan, green is yellow. The other thing I have noticed is there is a lag in the output of the LED strip versus what is displayed on screen, even when HDR is not enable. I would estimate the lag at about 200ms. It is most noticeable when content switches from dark to bright or bright to dark. I had hopes for this be an awesome device on a budget but it was a disappointment. I am returning my kit.

The media could not be loaded. WHAT’S INCLUDED: -Lytmi Sync Light Strip -Lytmi Sync Control box -Power Adapter -Power Adapter USB Cable -User Manual PRODUCT: This Sync Kit uses HDMI 2.0 to catch the signal you are passing through it, to sync the lights using the normal Mode. There is a total of 3 or 4 modes. The one I tested was for 56-75 Inch TVs Setup is very simple and there is instructions as soon as you open the box, along with another instruction booklet inside that will explain the modes, and the Left Or right switch depending on where you attach the control box. The Cable itself Also has a mode button on it, so you don’t have always to be trying to reach the back of your TV to touch the control box. FINAL THOUGHTS: I tested this product by sending a Sync Video from YT through the system, to one of my TVs. During my testing, the video showed multiple sets of various colors making fluid motions on screen. I set my system up for the sync mode and it was very accurate. The LEDs are nice and bright without being overpowering, and the quality of the Strip itself is VERY Good. You can cut the strip to the proper length you need during the process. Just remember that this is using HDMI, not DP, so if you are using a Display port on your TV, this won’t work for you as far as I know. ( I don't know if you can use an HDMI to DP adapter). I’ve uploaded a video during early testing before I actually attached the product to my TV so you can get an idea of the color Sync. It’s a fun product and it adds a new level of immersion to your TV/Movie Watching. I recommend you set it up and try it out on one of your favorite action movies for example and you’ll see what I mean. I can recommend it.

Attaching this to the back of my TV was overall simple and straight forward. The instruction booklet gives recommendations on what side to start from, but you can assemble based on your HDMI location which is where you want to start the strip. You do have a switch on the HDMI box to let the software know what side the strip is on. I was able to get this to work with my Firestick, which some of these types of backlighting kits do not support firesticks. However this one does. I got it connected, and set up and it does follow the screen color and matches on the backlight which gives you great immersion in movies. Also when the screen is black the lights turn off completely, so you do not have a light displaying when its a dark scene it really does match the screens display quite well, and with little to no latency. This is not a smart backlight kit. However if you do have a smart plug you can make it somewhat smart capable. I also have noticed since I have this set up through my sound system, it will sometimes come on randomly when the sound system turns on. At night I found this distracting when asleep and the light randomly turns on. I think for what this does it’s a little overpriced, considering its not a smart device, and spending a little more you could get one that is smart capable.

Product does NOT work as it seems, it does NOT sync to colors on the screen only has three useless modes. I would’ve bought regular LEDS if I really cared for it. This product was NOT work the 80 bucks. I will most likely return this product. DO. NOT. BUY. I hope this review has made it very clear on how much of a scam I believe this is. If you want regular LEDS for your tv save the money and buy from a different brand.
